The UNCP School of Business is located within the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. All undergraduate and graduate degree programs are fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). [1]

Undergraduate degrees are the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) and the Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BSA). Some programs are offered fully online. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is offered on campus as well as a completely online format.

Graduate degrees

A Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is offered by the UNCP School of Business as either a full-time day program or as a part-time evening program. An accelerated online MBA program is also available. Admitted to the MBA program requires the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

Faculty

The UNCP School of Business currently has thirty full-time faculty positions and 27 adjunct faculty. The use of adjuncts allows the three departments to offer more courses and bring a practitioner perspective to the students' education.[ citation needed ] The school's faculty is organized into three departments. Thomas Family Center for Entrepreneurship

The Entrepreneurship Center is funded with a gift from Pembroke native and Los Angeles commercial real-estate developer Jim Thomas and his family's foundation. [8] Thomas was born in Pembroke, North Carolina and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He maintains close ties to his home community. Located off-campus in COMtech near the UNCP Regional Center for Economic, Community, and Professional Development, the Thomas Center is designed to assist small businesses in the region. It applies the talents of UNCP's faculty to the business community and serves as a training ground for students. The center also has student interns from different majors. [9]

UNCP School of Business is a partner in the scholarly journal, the International Journal of Sustainable Strategic Management (IJSSM) published by Inderscience. [10]

Office of Economic and Business Research

The Office of Economic and Business Research (EBR) is intended to provide data to assist in regional economic progress. The target audience includes local area businesses and new firms that are relocating to the region. Publication include "The Economic and Social Impacts of The University" demonstrating the positive economic and social impact of UNCP for the region and state.

Leeds School of Business

The Leeds School of Business is a college of the University of Colorado Boulder in the United States, established 1906. The enrollment of 3,400 students includes undergraduates, master's candidates, and PhD candidates. In 2001, the college was named for the Leeds family, spearheaded by alumnus Michael Leeds of New York, who committed $35 million to the school.

The University of Connecticut (UConn) School of Business is a graduate and undergraduate public business school that spans across four campuses, with the main campus located in Storrs, Connecticut.

The College of Business is the business school at East Carolina University. Founded in 1936, and claiming distinction as the second oldest business school in North Carolina, the College houses both undergraduate and graduate students. The College's undergraduate programs were accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 1967, and the College's graduate programs were accredited by the AACSB in 1976. Out of North Carolina's 23 business schools, ten, including ECU, are accredited by the AACSB. It is a part of the GMAC governing body.

The Edwin L. Cox School of Business is an American business school, part of Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. The SMU Cox School of Business is headquartered in four buildings on SMU's 210-acre main campus five miles north of downtown Dallas and has a second campus in Plano, Texas.

The Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Founded in 1916, it is a research-intensive publicly funded institution and is consistently ranked in the top 50 publicly funded universities for research by the Financial Times of London.

Olin Business School

The Olin Business School is one of seven academic schools at Washington University in St. Louis. Founded in 1917, the business school was renamed for entrepreneur John M. Olin in 1988. The school offers BSBA, Master of Business Administration (MBA), MS in Supply Chain Management, MS in Finance, Masters in Accounting, MS in Business Analytics, MS in Leadership, Executive MBA, Doctor of Business in Finance (DBA) and PhD degrees. In 2002, an Executive MBA program was established in Shanghai, in cooperation with Fudan University.

Shidler College of Business

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Shidler College of Business is located in the U.S. state of Hawai‘i and is the state's only public business school with graduate, executive and PhD level programs. Established in 1949, the Shidler College of Business is named after The Shidler Group's Jay H. Shidler, founder and managing partner of The Shidler Group, a Honolulu-based company focused on commercial real estate and credit-related investments. In 2014, Mr. Shidler increased his initial gift of $25 million to $100 million, making it the largest donation at the University of Hawaii from a private donor.

On September 21, 2007, the graduate programs in North Carolina State University's College of Management were brought under one name - the Jenkins Graduate School of Management. The programs were named in honor of Benjamin (Ben) P. Jenkins, III, a 1968 graduate of the university and vice-chairman and president of the General Bank at Wachovia Corporation.

Sobey School of Business

The Sobey School of Business is the business school of Saint Mary's University (SMU), located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Originally established in 1934 as the Saint Mary's University Faculty of Commerce, the program was one of the first business programs in Canada. The school is consistently ranked as one of the top business schools in Canada. Most recently, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) placed Sobey's MBA program in the top ten in Canada. In November, 2018, Corporate Knights placed the Sobey MBA at number 8 in its Better World MBA ranking. It is the most comprehensive business school in Atlantic Canada. In 1992, the Faculty of Commerce was renamed the Sobey School of Business after Frank H. Sobey, the founder of Empire Company Limited and Sobeys. The Sobey School of Business offers a well-respected Bachelor of Commerce program, with a wide range of specialties, including entrepreneurship, finance, accounting, computing and information systems and human resource management and industrial relations. The School also provides a range of graduate-level programs including a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Finance, a Master of Applied Economics, a Master of Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and a well-respected Ph.D. program. E. J. Ourso College of Business

The E. J. Ourso College of Business is Louisiana State University's business school and was established originally in 1928 as the College of Commerce. It is located in the Louisiana State University Business Education Complex.

The University of Santo Tomas College of Commerce and Business Administration, popularly known as "UST CBA", is the business school, specialized in Financial Management, Marketing Management, Human Resources Development Management, Business Economics, and Entrepreneurship, of the University of Santo Tomas, the oldest and the largest Catholic university in Manila, Philippines.

Kozminski University

Kozminski University is a private, non profit business school in Warsaw, Poland, and is considered to be "Poland’s highest rated private university". It was established in 1993 and named after Leon Koźmiński, a Polish professor of economics and entrepreneurship, and also the father of Andrzej Koźmiński, the founder and the first rector of the school. It is one of the top business schools in the world, contains the Central Eastern campus of ESCP as of 2015, and the only institution of higher education in Poland, holding the "triple crown accreditation ". Less than 1% of business education providers worldwide hold these three major international quality accreditations. The Financial Times named the university as the best business school in Poland and Central Europe.

University of the Pacific Eberhardt School of Business is one of seven schools and colleges of University of the Pacific. The business school is located in Weber Hall on the school's main campus in Stockton, California.

The John Chambers College of Business and Economics is the business school of West Virginia University, a state university located in Morgantown in the U.S. State of West Virginia. The college building is in the downtown campus of the university. The college offers ten undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) programs and one Bachelor of Science in Economics program, seven master programs, and doctoral programs throughout its six departments. The college improved rankings over the past five years.

The Poole College of Management is the business school of the North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The college currently enrolls more than 3,500 students across its undergraduate and graduate academic programs. In the fall 2017 semester, there were 2,724 undergraduate and 828 graduate students. The college employs around 100 full-time faculty members across its four academic departments: Accounting, Business Management, Economics, and Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
