The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) is a public technical university established by the Government of India, located in Amingaon area, North Guwahati Village area, in the state of Assam in India. It is the sixth Indian Institute of Technology established in India. IIT Guwahati is officially recognised as an Institute of National Importance by the government of India. IIT Guwahati has been ranked 7th in Engineering and 9th in Overall category in NIRF Rankings 2023.

It has more than one million members in 15 engineering disciplines. The institution was established in 1920 in Kolkata, West Bengal, and was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1935. A hackathon is an event where people engage in rapid and collaborative engineering over a relatively short period of time such as 24 or 48 hours. They are often run using agile software development practices, such as sprint-like design wherein computer programmers and others involved in software development, including graphic designers, interface designers, product managers, project managers, domain experts, and others collaborate intensively on engineering projects, such as software engineering.
The Doctor of Engineering is a professional doctorate in engineering and applied science. An EngD is a terminal degree similar to a PhD in engineering but applicable more in industry rather than in academia. The degree is usually aimed toward working professionals.

The JB Institute of Engineering and Technology (JBIET) (autonomous) is a technical institute located in Amdapur X (Cross) Roads, near Chilkur, Hyderabad, India. It is 22 km (14 mi) from the city center. It has an intake of more than 1050 students.
The European Society for Engineering Education an organisation for engineering education in Europe. Commonly known as SEFI, an acronym for its French name, Société Européenne pour la Formation des Ingénieurs, it is also known in German as the Europäische Gesellschaft für Ingenieur-Ausbildung. SEFI was founded in Brussels in 1973 and has more than 300 members in 40 countries. It promotes information exchange about current developments in the field of engineering education, between teachers, researchers and students in the various European countries.
The term Engineers Without Borders is used by a number of non-governmental organizations in various countries to describe their activity based on engineering and oriented to international development work. All of these groups work worldwide to serve the needs of disadvantaged communities and people through engineering projects. Many EWB national groups are developed independently from each other, and so they are not all formally affiliated with each other, and their level of collaboration and organizational development varies. The majority of the EWB/ISF organizations are strongly linked to academia and to students, with many of them being student-led.

Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT), officially Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, is an autonomous un-aided Engineering Institute affiliated to University of Mumbai. The college was established in 1995 as an extension of its sister institute, the Sardar Patel College of Engineering, before becoming an independent unaided institute in 2005. S.P.I.T is one of the premier technical institutions of Maharashtra, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering and computer applications. Dr. Bhalchandra Chaudhari is the current principal of the institution.
International Jazz Day is an International Day declared by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in 2011 "to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe." It is celebrated annually on April 30. The idea came from jazz pianist and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock. Jazz Day is chaired by Hancock and the UNESCO Director-General. The celebration is recognized on the calendars of both UNESCO and the United Nations.
The World Federation of Engineering Organizations is an international, non-governmental organization representing the engineering profession worldwide.
The Technische Hochschule Georg Agricola is a state-accredited, private university of applied sciences based in Bochum, Germany. It was founded in 1816 as a Bergschule to train mining officials and mining foremen (Steiger) and, in the 20th century, grew into an engineering college and later a university. It has borne the name of the polymath and mining pioneer Georgius Agricola since 1995.
The Commonwealth Engineers' Council (CEC) is a network of professional engineering institutions of the Commonwealth, established to foster cooperation and exchange of information, support the development of indigenous engineering institutions, and foster the education, training and professional development of engineers. The CEC is an affiliated organisation of The Commonwealth.
Marlene Kanga is an engineer, entrepreneur, and diversity activist, who was awarded Queens Birthday honours in 2022. She was appointed an officer of the Order of Australia for her substantial service to Engineering, particularly as a global leader and role model to women to professional organisations, and to business.
