The tenth edition of the tournament, the second of 2024, took place from 22 August to 23 August at Forest Hills Stadium in New York. [1]
Rather than a group stage into a top 4 stage, the event featured a standard singles bracket with 8 players.

Filip Krajinović is a Serbian former professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 26 on 23 April 2018. His ATP Tour debut came at the 2009 Serbia Open, where he lost in the first round. His best individual result has been a Masters 1000 final, at the 2017 Paris Masters. He played a Davis Cup semifinal with the Serbian national team.
Nicholas Hilmy Kyrgios is an Australian inactive professional tennis player. Kyrgios has been ranked as high as world No. 13 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), achieved on 24 October 2016. He has won seven ATP Tour singles titles, including the 2019 and 2022 Washington Open, and reached eleven finals, most notably a major final at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships, and a Masters 1000 final at the 2017 Cincinnati Masters. In doubles Kyrgios has a career-high ranking of world No. 11, achieved on 7 November 2022, winning a major doubles title at the 2022 Australian Open partnering Thanasi Kokkinakis. He has reached three major singles quarterfinals.

Hubert Hurkacz is a Polish professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as world No. 6 in singles by the ATP, making him the highest-ranked Polish man in singles history. He has won eight ATP Tour singles titles, including two Masters 1000 titles at the 2021 Miami Open and the 2023 Shanghai Masters, becoming the first Pole to win an ATP Masters 1000 title. Hurkacz also has a career-high ranking of world No. 30 in doubles, which he attained in June 2022.
Stefanos Tsitsipas is a Greek professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as world No. 3 by the ATP, which he first achieved on 9 August 2021, making him the highest-ranked Greek, tied with Maria Sakkari.
Jeffrey John "J. J." Wolf is an American professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 39, achieved on 13 February 2023. Wolf played collegiately at Ohio State University.
Roger Federer defeated Stan Wawrinka in the final, 6–4, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2017 Indian Wells Masters. It was his record-equaling fifth Indian Wells title, 25th ATP Tour Masters 1000 singles title, and 90th singles title overall. He did not lose a single set in the entire tournament.
Roger Federer defeated Marin Čilić in the final, 6–3, 6–1, 6–4 to win the gentlemen's singles title at the 2017 Wimbledon Championships. It was his record eighth Wimbledon men's singles title and record-extending 19th major title overall. Federer also became the second man in the Open Era, after Björn Borg in 1976, to win Wimbledon without losing a set. This was Federer's 70th appearance at a major, tying the record for male players, and a record-breaking 11th men's singles final at the same major. In addition, with his third-round win over Mischa Zverev, Federer won his 317th major singles match, surpassing Serena Williams' Open Era record. With his first-round win, Federer surpassed Jimmy Connors' record for the most match wins at Wimbledon. In the same match, he hit his 10,000th career ace, becoming only the third man to do so. The tournament marked the fifth season where Rafael Nadal won the French Open and Federer won Wimbledon.
Juan Martín del Potro defeated the defending champion Roger Federer in the final, 6–4, 6–7(8–10), 7–6(7–2) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2018 Indian Wells Masters. He saved three championship points en route to his first Masters 1000 title, following three previous runner-up finishes.
Rafael Nadal defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, 6–2, 7–6(7–4) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2018 Rogers Cup. It was his fourth Canadian Open title.Alexander Zverev was the defending champion, but lost in the quarterfinals to Tsitsipas; Tsitsipas beat four top 10-ranked players en route to the final.
The 2019 ATP Finals (also known as the 2019 Nitto ATP Finals for sponsorship reasons) was a men's tennis tournament played at the O2 Arena on indoor hard courts in London, United Kingdom, from 10 to 17 November 2019. It was the season-ending event for the highest-ranked singles players and doubles teams on the 2019 ATP Tour and was the 50th edition of the tournament (45th in doubles). The singles event was won by Stefanos Tsitsipas over Dominic Thiem in three sets. In doubles, Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut defeated Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus in straight sets.

Daniil Medvedev defeated David Goffin in the final, 7–6(7–3), 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2019 Cincinnati Masters. It was his first ATP Tour Masters 1000 title.
Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk defeated Joe Salisbury and Harriet Dart in the final, 6–2, 7–6(7–1), to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. It was Krawczyk's second consecutive major title in mixed doubles, following her success at the French Open.
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Casper Ruud in the final, 6–4, 2–6, 7–6(7–1), 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 US Open. It was his first major title. He claimed the world No. 1 singles ranking with the win; Ruud, Rafael Nadal, Daniil Medvedev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas were also in contention for the top position. Alcaraz saved a match point en route to the title, in the quarterfinals against Jannik Sinner. Alcaraz became the youngest major champion since Nadal at the 2005 French Open, the youngest US Open champion since Pete Sampras in 1990, the first man born in the 2000s to win a major singles title, and the youngest man to be ranked world No. 1, surpassing Lleyton Hewitt's record. At 23 hours and 39 minutes of play duration across his seven matches, Alcaraz spent the longest time on court in major history. Ruud became the first Norwegian to reach the final.
The 2022 BOSS Open was a men's tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts. It was the 44th edition of the Stuttgart Open, and part of the ATP Tour 250 series of the 2022 ATP Tour. It was held at the Tennis Club Weissenhof in Stuttgart, Germany, from 6 June until 12 June 2022. Second-seed Matteo Berrettini won the singles title.
Borna Ćorić defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, 7–6(7–0), 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 Cincinnati Masters. It was his first Masters 1000 title, and his first title overall since the 2018 Halle Open. Ranked No. 152 in the world and using a protected ranking for entry, Ćorić became the lowest ranked player to win a Masters event since the series' inception in 1990. He defeated five seeded players en route to the title.
Novak Djokovic defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–4), 7–6(7–5) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Australian Open. It was his record-extending 10th Australian Open title and 22nd major title overall, tying Rafael Nadal for the all-time record of most Grand Slam men's singles titles won. He also became the second man to win double-digit titles at a single major, after Nadal at the French Open. Djokovic lost just one set en route to the title, and extended his match winning-streak at the Australian Open to an Open Era record 28 matches.
