Uahekua Herunga is a Namibian politician. A member of SWAPO,Herunga was a regional coordinator for his party in the northwestern Kunene Region [1] prior to his appointment to the 5th National Assembly of Namibia in 2009 as a choice of President Hifikepunye Pohamba. [2] He was subsequently appointed Deputy Minister of Environment and Tourism [3] and promoted to Minister of Environment and Tourism in a Cabinet reshuffle in December 2012,following the fifth SWAPO congress. [4]
Politics of Namibia takes place in a framework of a semi-presidential representative democratic republic,whereby the President of Namibia is both head of state and head of government,and of a pluriform multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by both the president and the government. Legislative power is vested in the two chambers of Parliament. The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature.
Kunene is one of the fourteen regions of Namibia. Its capital is Opuwo,its governor is Marius Sheya. The region's name comes from the Kunene River which forms the northern border with Angola. Besides the capital Opuwo,the region contains the municipality of Outjo,the town Khorixas and the self-governed village Kamanjab. Kunene is home to the Himba people,a subtribe of the Herero. As of 2020,Kunene had 58,548 registered voters.
Nahas Gideon Angula (born 22 August 1943 is a Namibian politician who served as the third Prime Minister of Namibia from 21 March 2005 to 4 December 2012. He was succeeded by Hage Geingob in a cabinet reshuffle after the 2012 SWAPO Party congress. He subsequently served as Minister of Defence from 2012 to 2015.
Hage Gottfried Geingob is a Namibian politician,serving as the third president of Namibia since 21 March 2015. Geingob was the first Prime Minister of Namibia from 1990 to 2002,and served as prime minister again from 2012 to 2015. Between 2008 and 2012 Geingob served as Minister of Trade and Industry. He is also the current president of the ruling SWAPO Party since his election to the position in November 2017.

Nandi-Ndaitwah is a member of SWAPO,Namibia's ruling party,and a long-time member of the National Assembly of Namibia. In 2017,Nandi-Ndaitwah was elected vice-president of the Swapo Party at the party's 6th Congress. She is the first woman to serve in that position.

Moses Mague ǁGaroëb was a Namibian politician,founding member of SWAPO,and member of SWAPO's Politburo and Central Committee. During his political career,ǁGaroëb served in the Constituent Assembly of Namibia and was a Member of Parliament from the day of Namibian independence,21 March 1990. He was appointed Minister of Labour and Human Resources in 1995,a position he held until his death.

Sakeus Edward Twelityaamena "Sacky" Shanghala is a Namibian lawyer and politician who served as the Minister of Justice from 8 February 2018 until November 2019 when he was forced to resign in the wake of the Fishrot scandal. He previously also served as Attorney General of Namibia from 2015 to 2018. Shanghala is a former chairperson of the Law Reform and Development Commission which he chaired between 2010 and 2015.
Henny Hendly Seibeb is a Namibian politician and Member of Parliament who serves as Deputy Leader and Chief Strategist (DLCS) of the Landless People's Movement political party which he formed alongside Bernadus Swartbooi in December 2016.
Bernadette Maria Jagger is a Namibian politician. She is a member of SWAPO and became appointed to the party's Central Committee in 2012. In 2015 she won a seat in parliament. In a cabinet reshuffle in February 2018 she was appointed Deputy Minister of Environment and Tourism,succeeding Tommy Nambahu.
