In Uganda, students receive the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) when they finish the 2-year upper secondary school which is also called the HSC (meaning High School Certificate). It is comparable to GCE A-Level in the UK. UACE is also known colloquially as "A-Level". The examinations for the UACE are administered by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB). [1]
The A-level is a subject-based qualification conferred as part of the General Certificate of Education, as well as a school leaving qualification offered by the educational bodies in the United Kingdom and the educational authorities of British Crown dependencies to students completing secondary or pre-university education. They were introduced in England and Wales in 1951 to replace the Higher School Certificate. The A-level permits students to have potential access to a chosen university they applied to with UCAS points. They could be accepted into it should they meet the requirements of the university.
In Uganda, students receive the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) when they finish the four year lower secondary school. It is comparable to GCE O-Level in the UK. UCE is also called "O-Level" by the people in Uganda. The UCE examinations are administered by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
As of 2021, 11 universities in Uganda offer medical schools. Admission to medical school requires the candidate to have attained a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) as well as proficiency in Biology or Zoology, Chemistry and Physics at A-level standards. Training leading to the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) lasts five years. Major examinations are conducted after the first, second and fifth year, with additional evaluations after each clinical rotation. After successful completion of the fifth year, candidates complete a year of internship under the supervision of specialists. Postgraduate training is available at Makerere University School of Medicine and other Public and Private Universities in a number of medical and surgical disciplines. The training takes three to four years and leads to the Master of Medicine (MMed) degree. The East, Central and Southern Africa College of Health Sciences is nowadays another alternative postgraduate training pathway in Uganda, such as Membership [MCS (ECSA)] and Fellowship [FCS (ECSA)] of the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA); as well as in Internal Medicine through the East, Central and Southern Africa College of Physicians (ECSACOP) and the College of Obstetrics and Gynecology of East, Central and Southern Africa (ECSACOG) for Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Teso College Aloet (TCA) was established in 1953. Teso College is an all-male preparatory school, a boarding school, located in Aloet, Soroti, in Uganda. As of 2014, Teso College has 1,574 students. Over 30,000 students have graduated from TCA since its establishment. Teso College ranks in the top 50 in the Ugandan national examinations performance listing.
Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is a national assessment body in Uganda, established in 1983 by an act of Parliament. The UNEB Secretariat is headed by the Executive Secretary, who is the Chief Executive head and the accounting officer of the board. Under the Executive Secretary, the board is a body corporate mandated to conduct and manage examinations in Uganda at the end of the educational cycle at the primary and secondary school level and to conduct examination-related research.
Margaret Komuhangi is a Ugandan politician. She is the elected Woman Member of Parliament for Nakasongola District and the representative for NRM, the ruling political party in Uganda. She previously served as the chairperson, committee on Gender, Labour and Social Development, from 2014 to 2018.
Grace Kesande Bataringaya is a Ugandan politician and member of parliament. In 2011, she was elected as a representative in parliament for Rubirizi district.

She is a member of the National Resistance Movement(NRM) the party in political leadership in Uganda under the chairmanship of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni president of the republic of Uganda. She was appointed as a state minister for Economic monitoring in 2009 by President museveni her appointment was blocked by the parliament of Uganda.

Alum Sandra Ogwang is a Ugandan social scientist, politician and legislator. She represents the people of Oyam District as district Woman representative in the Parliament of Uganda. She is a member of the Uganda People's Congress ( UPC), a party under the chairmanship of Jimmy Akena, who is the member of parliament for Lira municipality and son to former president Apollo Milton Obote.
As of June 2020 there are eleven recognized universities in Uganda, that offer education in law. There is, in addition, one specialised school, the Law Development Centre, that teaches aspects of the law that the universities do not teach. The Centre prepares and tests candidates for the Uganda Bar Examination.
Florence Nambozo Wamala is a Ugandan politician and member of the parliament. She was elected as a woman Member of Parliament to represent Sironko district in 2016 Uganda general elections and was re-elected for the same post in the 2021 Uganda general elections.
Connie Galiwango Nakayenze is a Ugandan politician and district woman representative of Mbale District in Uganda's eleventh Parliament. Connie also served as the Member of Parliament in the ninth Parliament of Uganda. She is affiliated to the ruling party, the National Resistance Movement.

Bethani High School Naalya is a Ugandan secondary school that was started in 1999. It is located in Naalya, a suburb in Kampala. The school is supervised by Ministry of Education and Sports and examined by Uganda National Examination Board, a government body responsible for examining all secondary schools in Uganda. The school operates both "O" Ordinary and Advanced "A" Level education system.
