Ugler i mosen is a 1959 Norwegian mystery and adventure family film directed by Ivo Caprino. The title, which literally means 'Owls in the Moss', is based on the idiom det er ugler i mosen 'I smell a rat; there is mischief afoot'. [1]
The film was written by Caprino as an adaptation of Finn Havrevold's children's book Marens lille ugle (Maren's Little Owl). [2] [3] [4] The leading role was played by 12-year-old Grethe Nilsen, [5] and the film also featured Sverre Hansen, [6] [7] Turid Balke, Kjetil Bang-Hansen, Egil Hjorth-Jenssen and Aud Schønemann.

The Monsen family has inherited uncle Pavel's house in southern Norway. When listening to an old phonograph, the children hear uncle Pavel tell about a hidden fortune, but to find it they have to solve four mysteries.
Leonardstatuetten is a prize awarded by the Norwegian Comedy Writers' Association. The award is named after revue instructor, composer and director Einar Leonard Schanke (1927–1992), who was one of Norway's most important revue personalities. The prize is regarded the highest distinction in Norwegian revue. Awarded from 1968 to 2013, the statuette was given to persons with a significant and lasting importance to Norway's entertainment industry. The statuette was again awarded in 2019, when Eldar Vågan was the recipient.

The Norwegian Actors' Equity Association is an association of Norwegian actors. Its main purpose is to improve actors' working conditions and to protect the artistic, judicial and financial interests of actors in Norway. The association was established in 1898, after an initiative from actor Sigurd Asmundsen at a birthday party in 1897, followed by a preparatory meeting in April 1898, and a constituent meeting 27 October 1898. The first chairman was Sigvard Gundersen, with Johanne Dybwad as vice chairman, and Christian Sandal as first secretary. Important issues during the early years were contractual conditions, pensions, and regulation of foreign ensembles. The association's first Honorary member was actor and later theatrical director Bjørn Bjørnson, nominated in May 1900.

He made his stage debut at Studioteatret in 1945, and was later assigned at Det Nye Teater, Folketeatret, Nationaltheatret and Fjernsynsteatret. Among his films are minor roles in Ni liv from 1957 and Ugler i mosen from 1959, and his leading role in the film Eggs from 1995 earned him the Amanda Award.
Ingolf Rogde was a Norwegian actor. He was born in Sande, Møre og Romsdal, and was married to actress Siri Rom. He was mainly known for his long-term period with the touring theatre Riksteatret. Rogde made his stage debut at Trøndelag Teater in 1937, and was later assigned with Det Nye Teater, Det Norske Teatret, Riksteatret and Rogaland Teater. He also worked for Radioteatret. Among his films are Rikard Nordraak (1945) and Ugler i mosen (1959). He was decorated Knight, First Class of the Order of St. Olav in 1969.
