Obianuju Blessing Okeke, popularly known as Uju Okeke, is an actress in Nigerian cinema. She had roles in Mission to No Where and The Barrister.

Personal life

Okeke was born in Anambra State. She is a graduate in theatre arts from Nnamdi Azikiwe University. [1]

In 2012, she married her longtime partner, Melekh. The holy solemnization took place at Saint Barth Anglican Church in Lagos. [2]

Career

In 2006, Okeke played the role of a maid in Teco Benson thriller film Mission to Nowhere. In 2007, she won the award for the Next Upcoming Actress at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for her promising role in that film. [1]

In 2018, she was honored by the theatre and film studies department, at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State. [1]

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, also called UNIZIK or NAU in short is a federal university in Nigeria. It consists of two campuses in Anambra State. Its main campus is in Awka, while its other campus is in Nnewi. There are also other campuses of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. These include Agulu in Aniocha local government area and Ifite-Ogwuari in Ayamelum local government area in Anambra State. This makes Nnamdi Azikiwe University to operate in the three Senatorial Districts in Anambra State, Nigeria having Awka campus, in Anambra Central Senatorial District, Nnewi in Anambra North Senatorial District and Ifite-Ogwuari in Anambra North Senatorial District, respectively. Ayamelum is a local government area (LGA) in Anambra state, in the southeastern part of Nigeria with headquarters in Anaku. The towns that make up the local government are Anaku, Umueje, Omasi, Igbakwu, Umumbo, Omor, Umuerum, and Ifite Ogwari. Ayamelum’s area is situated at the border between Enugu state and Anambra state. The communities in the area are notable for food production.
