Ultatel was established in 2016 in Herndon, Virginia by Amr Ibrahim. [2] In January 2021, the company was certified by Microsoft to integrate Session Border Control (SBC) through Microsoft Teams. [3] In September 2023, the company also received Microsoft certification for its Contact Center Software, allowing Ultatel's contact center customers integrate their contact center and internal collaboration with Microsoft Teams. [4]

In 2023 and 2024, Ultatel was placed in the Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. [5] Ultatel was named a GetApp Category Leader and a Capterra Shortlist winner for 2023–2024. It was also recognized as a High Performer by G2 and a Frontrunner by SoftwareAdvice for the same period. ULTATEL provides Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol (SRTP) encryption between all endpoints.
