Publication history

The Free Comic Book Day 2025 one-shot issue for May 3, 2025 featured a prologue for the limited series Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, which first issue will be published on June 4, 2025. The story features Miles Morales trying to save his sister Billie after she was accidentally transported from Earth-616 to Earth-6160. [1] [2] [3]

Plot

While swinging through Brooklyn, Miles Morales recalls his encounter with Maker who gave him a card to join him in his new universe which Miles discarded. [a] His baby sister Billie finds the card and is teleported away with Miles in pursuit. They arrive in Manhattan on Earth-6160 where their arrival is detected by Spider-Man and his son Richard Parker as Billie lands in Wakanda. They also encounter Spot who got his powers from a Stark Box. Miles Morales shows up and assists in the fight against Spot. Miles explains where he comes from as Spider-Man learns of his Earth-616 counterpart and that he is looking for his baby sister. As both Spider-Men assist Miles in looking for Billie, Spot breaks free and catches up to them before being knocked out by Spot again. Miles arrival has not gone unnoticed by Maker's Council and H.A.N.D. In the European Coalition, Henri Duggary is told about an Incursion by Merlyn. The Nick Fury Life Model Decoy is told about "two of them" by a H.A.N.D. Agent. Lord Ra also senses Miles' arrival. Hulk is told about the teleportation energy that is greater than The City's technology and that the energy is associated with Maker. Emmanuel da Costa suspects that Maker might've escaped The City. Hulk suspects it might be a weapon that Maker left behind. In Hi no Kune, Viper mentions to Sunfire that it could be a message. In the Eurasian Republic, Magik tells Colossus and Omega Red that it could be an agent. Whatever it might be, the members of Maker's Council wants it. At the Triskelion, Iron Lad, Captain America, and Doom have also detected the energy. The Spider-Men have not had any luck finding Billie. After Spider-Man and Richard leave, Miles continues his search until he runs into Ultimates members Giant-Man and Wasp. [4]

Billie wanders into a Wakandan area towards the green orb only to be intercepted by Black Panther, Shuri, Killmonger, and Storm. They find that Billie has energies that are associated with Maker and assume that it will unlock new beginnings. Meanwhile in Rwanda, Miles is briefed by Giant-Man and Wasp about Iron Lad and Doom's theories about Billie bringing about the end of the world as Miles learns that the Ultimates don't have a Quinjet. They are then attacked at the border by the Dora Milaje who state that they have been listed as terrorists. Miles, Giant-Man, and Wasp fight the Dora Milaje as Black Panther is informed about their arrival. Black Panther states that he's been wanting to talk to the Ultimates for a while. He, Killmonger, and Storm confront Miles, Giant-Man, and Wasp. H.A.N.D. Agent 18929-93 has posed as a Wakandan servant as he grabs Billie and plans to return to the Beast with her. Both sides go to look for Billie. Before H.A.N.D. Agent 18929-93 can reach the rendezvous, he is ambushed by Silver Samurai who impales him and steals Billie for Emperor Sunfire. [5]

Two months have passed since Miles arrived in Earth-6160. He was able to give Giant-Man and Wasp the slip when the Wakandan dropship had taken them to Hi no Kune. After hearing voices and turning invisible, he stumbles upon Nico Minoru and Maystorm who detect him and mistake him for a demon. As Miles can't understand Japanese, Maystorm uses the translator app on her phone to interpret for them as they ask how he knows of the X-Men. Meanwhile, Silver Samurai is keeping an eye on Billie as he informs an arriving Viper that the games are the only things that make her calm. They are then contacted by Emmanuel da Costa on Emperor Sunfire's private line who wants to make a deal with Emperor Sunfire to have Billie transferred to him as he has experience with gifted children while cautioning that the rest of Maker's Council will come for the child and will not be offering any deals. Later that night, Nico's staff glows as Miles also grabs it. Meanwhile, a doctor analyzes Billie as Silver Samurai asks Viper if Emmanuel da Costa will make a move. Just then, Miles, Nico, and Maystorm teleport into the room where Billie is in. Silver Samurai fights Miles as Viper tries to call security only to be told that they have a disturbance at the front gate. With Maystorm's help, Miles defeats Silver Samurai and Viper. Just then, Magik appears where she attacks the group and makes off with Billie. She later contacts Emmanuel da Costa about her success at claiming Billie as they discuss their fee while undergoing his latest blood transfusion from a mutant named David. After transmission ends with him not getting information from Magik on what the Rasputin Family plans to do with Billie, Emmanuel da Costa talks about the grand design and his plans to be at the center of it. [6]

In the Eurasian Republic, Miles Morales and Maystorm are trudging through the snow when they come across a cabin. Using Nico Minoru's staff, Maystorm makes the cabin hospitable with warm winds. Miles tells Maystorm about her Storm. Later that night, Miles is contacted by Anansi who can't help him as Earth-6160 is new to him and states that the road to rescuing Billie will be tough. The next day, Magik fights some of Henri Duggary's warriors. Henri speaks through a winged mirror stating that this group is a rogue faction of his Black Knights as she compares it to the Children of the Light's ninja attacks that Hulk didn't sanction. Magik mentioned that Omega Red brought Billie to The City and nothing happened. The Eurasian Republic's technicians have placed Billie in an apparatus. Amidst her victory over the rogue Black Knights faction, Magik is ambushed by Miles Morales and Maystorm as they struggle to fight her. They managed to take down Magik. Meanwhile, the technicians guarding Billie are confronted by Emmanuel da Costa who has arrived with Blink and Longshot. Using Blink and Longshot's powers from a blood transfusion from them, Emmanuel used their powers to slay the technicians and take Billie to The City. [7]

In Latveria, Miles Morales battles a bulked-up Emmanuel da Costa. Back in the Eurasian Republic, Miles and Maystorm witness Emmanuel making off with Billie Morales which did not bode well for Magik. Following Magik through the portal, Miles tries to get to Billie only to be blasted by Emmanuel's optic blasts. He has moved on from mutants and has transfused into him the blood of superhero catalysts from Maker's private collection. As Miles and Magik are forced into a truce, Emmanuel uses his powers to see into their fears with Magik confronted by Limbo's demons and Miles fearing failure. Thanks to Billie calling out to him, Miles breaks free, regenerates his costume, and punches Emmanuel. As Miles and Billie embrace each other, Emmanuel gets to his feet. In the nick of time, Ultimates members Iron Lad, Captain America, Giant-Man, Wasp, and She-Hulk arrive as Miles is thrown into where the catalysts are. After flashing back to his origin on Earth-1610, Miles is approached by Captain America and Iron Lad who note that Emmanuel has taken use of most of the superhero catalysts except for the risky ones. Miles breaks up an argument between Captain America and Iron Lad by stating that he can give them to the Avengers on Earth-616 and that they'll figure out what to do with them. They place them in a box that Miles webs to his back. Both Emmanuel and Magik get away as Magik vows to vengefully drink Emmanuel's blood. Miles is reunited with Billie. On the Triskelion before being sent back to Earth-616 by the card that Billie held on to, Miles mentions to Doom that Maker came from Earth-1610 where he started out on Earth-1610 as Mister Fantastic and was displaced on Earth-616. Back at home, Miles and Billie are confronted by Jefferson Davis, Rio Morales, and Jaime Morales as he states that he has a story for them. [8]

Aftermath

After helping Black Cat, Inari, Misty Knight, and White Cat take down the crime lord Black Obsidian and his minions, Miles Morales later tells Misty Knight about his and Billie's travels to Earth-6160 as well as Jefferson, Rio, and Jaime being briefed on what happened. He shows her the Origin Box that he had to bring over from Earth-6160 as they were too dangerous to leave behind. A disclaimer then states "Discover the secrets of the Origin Boxes in 2026". [9]
