Ultramarine is the fourth studio album by Young Galaxy, released in April 2013. As with their previous album, it was produced by Dan Lissvik and was released on Paper Bag Records. [5]
Young Galaxy is a Canadian indie pop/dream pop band formed in 2005 in Vancouver, whose members are husband and wife, Stephen Ramsay and Catherine McCandless.
Dan Lissvik is a Swedish musician and producer. Together with Rasmus Hägg he founded the award-winning group Studio. In November 2008, he released his first solo album entitled 7 Trx+Intermission, which was followed by an album in June 2009 from The Crepes consisting of him and Fredrik Lindson from The Embassy.
Paper Bag Records is a Canadian independent record label, artist-management company and music publisher, founded in 2002 and based in Toronto, Ontario.
The album was named a longlisted nominee for the 2013 Polaris Music Prize on June 13, 2013 and named to the short list on July 16, 2013. [6] [7]

The Polaris Music Prize is a music award annually given to the best full-length Canadian album based on artistic merit, regardless of genre, sales, or record label. The award was established in 2006 with a $20,000 cash prize; the prize was increased to $30,000 for the 2011 award. In May 2015, it was announced the Polaris Music Prize winner will now receive $50,000, an additional $20,000, thanks to the sponsorship of Slaight Music. Additionally, second place prizes which go to the nine other acts on the Short List will increase from $2,000 to $3,000. Polaris officials also announced they will be creating The Slaight Family Polaris Heritage Prize, a sort of hall of fame award that "will annually honour five albums from the five decades before Polaris launched in 2006." Details about the selection process for this prize are still to be revealed.

Olympia is the second studio album by Canadian electronic music band Austra, released in Canada on June 18, 2013 by Paper Bag Records. It was also released in the United States on June 18, 2013 and a day before in rest of the world by Domino. Olympia has spawned two singles: "Home" and "Painful Like". Stephen Thompson of NPR describes the album as having a more "bombastic throb" compared to its predecessor, but still showcasing lead singer Katie Stelmanis's "classically trained ... massive voice". Rebecca Nicholson of The Guardian calls it "clean, considered, with every detail in its place and a clear sense of its own identity."
Julia With Blue Jeans On is the third album by musician Spencer Krug as the moniker Moonface. It is the follow-up to 2012's With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery and features only Krug on vocals and piano. The album was released on 29 October 2013 by Jagjaguwar in the United States and by Paper Bag Records in Canada.
DIANA is a Canadian synthpop band, consisting of Carmen Elle (vocals), Joseph Shabason (keyboards) and Kieran Adams (drums). Their debut album Perpetual Surrender was a longlisted nominee for the 2014 Polaris Music Prize. It was followed by their second album Familiar Touch in November 2016.
