Warangal Airport also Mamnoor Airport is located at Mamnoor, Warangal in the state of Telangana, India. The largest airport at the time, remained in service until 1981. The Government of Telangana is trying to revive the airport with some instate services.

Hence the Haryana State Government chose to develop an aviation hub at Hisar, encompassing an international airport, a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) zone, and aero manufacturing industrial zone spread across 4,194 acres (1,697 ha) To this end, the State Government of Haryana has made provisions of INR 50 crore in 2016–17, INR 50 crore in 2017–18 and INR 120 crore in 2018–19.
Chitrakoot Airport is situated at Dewangna in Chitrakoot district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is owned by the Civil Aviation Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. In January 2019, the State government decided to expand the airstrip and construct an airport terminal by acquiring additional land from the forest department. In October 2020, Gurugram-based Aviation Connectivity and Infrastructure Developers Pvt Ltd won the rights to operate flights from Chitrakoot airport to Kanpur, Allahabad and Varanasi, under the government's UDAN Regional Connectivity Scheme.

At the beginning of the scheme, out of total 486 airports, 406 were participating unserved airports, 27 were well served airports out of 97 non-RCS airports and 12 were operational airports out of 18 participating underserved regional operational airports with regular fixed-wing scheduled flights. UDAN scheme will add to this number by expediting the development and operationalisation of India's potential-target of nearly 425 unserved, underserved, and mostly underdeveloped regional airports with regular scheduled flights.

The Cholavaram Airport, or Sholavaram Airport, is an unused airport near Cholavaram, Chennai. It was originally operated by the Royal Air Force as an airbase during World War II. After the war it was abandoned until the airstrip was turned into a venue for drag racing. Most notably, the famous Malayalam actor Jayan was killed in a helicopter accident here during the shooting of his film Kolilakkam on 16 November 1980.
