Umuerum

Umuerum, also known as Umuolum, is a town in Ayamelum Local Government Area in Anambra State, Nigeria.

Umuerum or is located on the shores of the Omambala River and Ezu River. The town contains the villages of Ukpambaka/Umunkwele, Ayigo, Umuodu/Umuoli, Umuerike/Obinagu and Otu-oyibo (general settlement area). Umuerum is closely bordered by her sister towns Anaku, Omor, Umumbo and Awba (ovemmili).[ citation needed ] [1]

Umuerum produces yams, rice, cassava, maize and other assorted vegetables. The river tributaries and lakes allow the town to enjoy good stock of fresh water fish. In 1970s oil companies discovered oil and gas deposits in large quantities and have not yet been exploited by Nigerian government.[ citation needed ] [2]

The Obolo people, also known as the Andoni or Doni, is an ethnic group in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Obolo people are primarily found in Rivers State and Akwa Ibom State. They are also present in the states of Bayelsa, Cross River, Abia, and Enugu.

The Engenni people live in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. They are among the many sub Ijaw groups but they speak a language which linguistic scholars have described to be Edoid. They live in close proximity with other Ijaw people. They primarily live in Ahoada west local government area of Rivers state, Nigeria. Although they consider themselves to be Engenni, the Engenni speak an Edoid language. Alagoa (2003) said: “---The penetration of the Niger-Delta by Edoid groups extends to the Epie-Atissa and Engenni of the central and Eastern Niger-Delta----The Epie, along with the Ogbia and other groups of the central and eastern Niger-Delta, are historically united with the Ijaw.” The other groups of the central and eastern Niger-Delta which Professor Ebiegberi Alagoa said that were historically united with the Ijaw, include the Engenni, as shown from his narrative above. The Engenni have close relations with neighbouring Ijaw tribes such as the Zarama and Epie-Atissa.

Oyigbo also known as Obigbo is a Local Government Area located in Rivers State, Nigeria. It is a town, 30 kilometers from the Port city of Port Harcourt, 25km from the city of Aba. It's predominantly inhabited by the Asa people an indigenous Igbo people who are also found in Ukwa west L.G.A in Abia state and the Ndoki people who are also found in Ukwa East L.G.A of Abia state and Ukanafun L.G.A of Akwa ibom state

Omuma is a Local Government Area in Rivers State, South South geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Eberi. Its people are Igbo. It was created in the year 1989.

Ebenebe is a town in the Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. The town has an estimated population of 45,897 according to the 2006 Nigerian Census. Ebenebe is made up of eight villages, each of which contain hamlets.

Izombe in the northeast of Niger Delta is an oil town in Njaba River basin, Imo State Southeastern Nigeria.
