unOrdinary is a superhero webcomic written and illustrated by American artist Chelsey Han, better known as "uru-chan" (written only with lowercase letters). It was serialized on Tapas from November 2015 until January 2016; it has been published weekly on the platform Webtoon since May 2016, with its chapters collected into two volumes as of July 2024. The story follows a powerless high school student named John Doe navigating a world full of superpowered people. The narrative focuses on how a society built on raw strength affects those at the bottom of hierarchy, and the brutality of the institutions that are used to enforce it. [2] [3] [4] [5]

At Ringo Awards, unOrdinary has won three awards for Fan Favorite Villain category in 2017, 2018, and 2020. [6] [7] [8] It also received one nomination for Best Webcomic category in 2017. [9]

Plot and themes

Set primarily in Wellston High School, John as transfer student on second year enrolled in school full of students with superhuman abilities, despite having no abilities whatsoever, thus labeled as 'cripple'. There, he meet Seraphina, a 'god-tier' student, also known as Wellston's Ace, with the ability to manipulate time whom standing on top of the power hierarchy.

unOrdinary deals with themes focused on youngster's coming of age and high school drama. It also has the themes of bullying, abuse of power, and mental trauma.

Lore Olympus is a romance webcomic created by New Zealand artist Rachel Smythe. The comic is a modern retelling of the relationship between the Greek goddess and god Persephone and Hades. It began publishing weekly on the platform Webtoon in March 2018. Lore Olympus is currently the most popular comic on Webtoon; as of March 2024, it has 1.4 billion views and 6.5 million subscribers. The comic has won two Eisner Awards, two Harvey Awards, and two Ringo Awards. It was announced in 2019 that a television adaptation was under development.

<i>Adventures of God</i> Comedy webtoon by Matteo Ferrazzi and Corey Jay

Adventures of God is a comedy webtoon created and respectively written and illustrated by Italian Matteo "Teo" Ferrazzi and American Corey Jay. The comic explores the relationship between God and his sons Jesus and Lucy and the angel Gabe and demon Ebag after confirming the existence of the afterlife to humankind. It began publishing weekly on WEBTOON in November 2016. As of August 2019 it had 100 million views, and as of April 2021 WEBTOON reported that it had 1.4 million subscribers. The comic has been nominated for a Ringo Award in the Humor Comic category, ranking second behind I Hate Fairyland. Adventures of God is published in print by Rocketship Entertainment and was Kickstarted in October 2019.

SubZero is a fantasy romance webcomic created by artist Junepurrr. It follows the marriage between a princess and prince from rival clans arranged in order to end a war. It began publishing weekly on the Webtoon platform in 2018. According to data from Webtoon, it had received 73 million views by the end of 2019. The comic won a fan Ringo Award in 2020 for Favorite Hero.
