The Boxer (Korean : 더 복서; RR : Deo Bogseo) is a South Korean manhwa released as a webtoon written and illustrated by Jung Ji-Hoon. It was serialized via Naver Corporation's webtoon platform Naver Webtoon from December 2019 to June 2022, with the individual chapters collected and published into 10 volumes. A South Korean animated series adaptation by Xtorm has been announced, and the series will be released with 12 Episodes in 2025 second of half. [2] [3]
Jung Ji-Hoon launched The Boxer in Naver's webtoon platform Naver Webtoon on December 15, 2019. During their panel at Anime Expo 2022, Yen Press announced that they licensed the manhwa in English under their Ize Press imprint. [4]

In reviewing the first volume, Noemi10 from Anime UK scored the manhwa a 5 out of 10, criticizing the bullying portrayed in the volume as "extreme" and the reason the main character becomes a boxer as "being forced". [24]
Manhwa is the general Korean term for comics and print cartoons. Outside Korea, the term usually refers to Korean comics. Manhwa is directly influenced by Japanese Manga comics. Modern Manhwa has extended its reach to many other countries. These comics have branched outside of Korea by access to Webtoons and have created an impact that has resulted in some movie, drama and television show adaptations.
Kang Do-young, better known as Kang Full, is a South Korean webtoon artist and screenwriter. Kang began his career as a cartoonist in 1997, serializing comic reviews in Yeongseo Newspaper, then in 2002, began publishing his cartoons on his personal website. He is one of the first-generation webtoon artists in South Korea.
Noblesse is a South Korean manhwa released as a webtoon, written by Son Je-ho and illustrated by Lee Kwangsu. Noblesse was first posted on Naver Corporation's webtoon platform, Naver Webtoon, in December 2007 and concluded in January 2019. It was among the first webtoons to receive an official English translation at the launch of Line Webtoon in July 2014. The novel has been licensed in English by Yen Press.
Studio N is a subsidiary of Webtoon Entertainment Inc. launched in August 2018 that produces drama films and television series based on stories from their Korean library of webtoons and web novels. The subsidiary is headed by Kwon Mi-kyung, who was a former head of the film business division of CJ ENM. Kwon describes the studio as a "IP bridge company that collaborates with existing film and drama production companies".
Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion is a South Korean web novel written by Milcha. It has been serialized in Kakao's digital comic and fiction platform KakaoPage since September 19, 2016. A webtoon adaptation was first serialized in KakaoPage on September 3, 2017, and is illustrated by Whale. An anime television series adaptation produced by Typhoon Graphics aired from April to June 2023.
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, also alternatively translated as Omniscient Reader, is a South Korean web novel written by Sing Shong. It was first published on January 6, 2018, on the platform Munpia, and ended on February 2, 2020. Naver Webtoon published an ongoing webtoon adaptation created by Redice Studio for the Korean version and Line Webtoon for the English version in 2020. An anime television series adaptation has been announced.
A Returner's Magic Should Be Special is a South Korean web novel written by Usonan. It was serialized in Kakao's digital comic and fiction platform KakaoPage from September 2016 to August 2019. A webtoon adaptation was first serialized in KakaoPage in May 2018, and is illustrated by Wookjakga. An anime television series adaptation produced by Arvo Animation aired from October to December 2023. A second season has been announced.
