Maya Angelou was an American memoirist, popular poet, and civil rights activist. She published seven autobiographies, three books of essays, several books of poetry, and is credited with a list of plays, movies, and television shows spanning over 50 years. She received dozens of awards and more than 50 honorary degrees. Angelou is best known for her series of seven autobiographies, which focus on her childhood and early adult experiences. The first, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (1969), tells of her life up to the age of 17 and brought her international recognition and acclaim.
Young Bond is a series of young adult spy novels featuring Ian Fleming's secret agent James Bond as a young teenage boy attending school at Eton College in the 1930s. The series, written by Charlie Higson, was originally planned to include only five novels; however, after the release of the fifth novel, Higson considered the possibility of a second series. In October 2013 it was confirmed that a second series of four novels was in development, with the first novel due for release in Q3 2014, but it would be penned by Steve Cole while Higson continued work on his young adult zombie series, The Enemy.

Leila Cobo is a Colombian journalist, writer, novelist, pianist and television show host. She is noted for her coverage of Latin music for Billboard where she is currently VP of Latin, overseeing the brand's coverage and development of Latin music across all its platforms. These include billboard.com and billboardenespanol.com, which Cobo launched, podcasts and video. A Fulbright Scholar with degrees in music and communications, Cobo also contributes frequently to other publications and speaks frequently at conferences and universities around the world. She also co-hosts Billboard's bi-weekly Latin podcast and has been a regular contributor to KPCC's New Music Tuesday bi-weekly segment. Prior to Billboard, she was the pop music critic for the Miami Herald and was also a reporter for the Los Angeles Times. Cobo is also director of content for Nexos, American Airlines' Spanish and Portuguese in-flight magazine. As an author, Cobo has published two novels, a musical biography on the late Jenni Rivera and a book on the Latin music industry also on Penguin. She most recently collaborated with Puerto Rican star Ednita Nazario in her memoir "Una Vida," which was published in 2017 by Penguin. She will release a history of Latin music, also on Penguin, in 2020.

Joyas Prestadas consists of a double album with eleven cover songs, each recorded with two distinct styles of music. The first half being recorded in pop, while the second was recorded in the Regional Mexican subgenre of banda. The album was produced by Enrique Martinez. According to Rivera, the songs she chose to cover were those she was enamored with while working as a cashier in a record store.

Mom & Me & Mom (2013) is the seventh and final book in author Maya Angelou's series of autobiographies. The book was published shortly before Mother's Day and Angelou's 85th birthday. It focuses, for the first time in her books, on Angelou's relationship with her mother, Vivian Baxter. The book explains Baxter's behavior, especially Baxter's abandonment of Angelou and Angelou's older brother when they were young children, and fills in "what are possibly the final blanks in Angelou's eventful life". The book also chronicles Angelou's reunion and reconciliation with Baxter.

It is Part 1 of a trilogy recorded live in her final concert in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, just three hours before her death. This collection represents three major components of the singer's life: her work on-stage, her family, and her friends. The first component is represented by Despedida de Culiacán, a live album recorded during her last sold out appearance in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico. The second is Metamorfosis, a documentary featuring interviews with her family along with several music videos and live concert clips. The last disc, Jenni Vive 2013, is a DVD of the tribute concert held one year after her death, featuring performances by her family and many close friends in the Latin music world. She became the first person to sing, Miley Cyrus's hit song, “The Climb” in Spanish from the feature film Hannah Montana: The Movie, obtaining rights from the Walt Disney Company in 2012. Sepulveda made her acting debut in 2017 for the Telemundo network series, Jenni Rivera: Mariposa de Barrio where she played the youngest daughter of Mexican-American singer, Jenni Rivera. In 2022, Sepulveda was awarded with the title, "Youth Revelation of Regional Mexican Music" by Grandeza Hispana International Awards held in Coyoacán, Mexico City. She would later participate in La Voz Kids in 2013 and American Idol in 2016. Sepulveda has also collaborated with mejor Regional Mexican artists including Luis Coronel in July 2022 with his song, "Mi Niña Traviesa," during his concert at the Stanislaus County Fair and the Grammy winning Regional Mexican band, Banda Los Sebastianes, with the song from Grupo Liberación, "Ese Loco Soy Yo" during their live concert in Salinas Sports Complex.
