United Nations Security Council resolution 492, adopted unanimously on 10 November 1981, after examining the application of Antigua and Barbuda for membership in the United Nations, the Council recommended to the General Assembly that Antigua and Barbuda be admitted.

MV <i>Francop</i> German-owned merchant cargo ship

The MV Francop is a German-owned, Antigua and Barbuda-flagged merchant cargo ship. In November 2009 the Israeli navy boarded the vessel in the Mediterranean Sea, suspecting that it was carrying weapons destined for Hezbollah from the Islamic Republic of Iran in violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701. Hundreds of tons of weapons were found on the ship, which was then directed to berth in Israel.

United Nations Security Council Resolution 2699, adopted on 2 October 2023, authorized a Kenya-led security mission in Haiti. The mission is a response to the 2018–2023 Haitian crisis and the gang war in Haiti, with UN support initially requested on 7 October 2022, a year prior. The resolution also extended a previous arms embargo.

The Multinational Security Support (MSS) Mission in Haiti is a multinational force approved by the United Nations Security Council resolution 2699 on 2 October 2023 to assist the government of Haiti to restore law and order.
