The School of Business at the University of California, Riverside is home to the largest undergraduate business program in the University of California system, as well as the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management.
Leveraging its location in Inland Southern California as one of the fastest growing regions in the United States, the School's brand identity is tied to the development and management of growth, and uses the tagline "Leading Thinkers Leading Growth." [1]
The school's 2008-2013 strategic plan identifies five "spires of excellence" that represent areas of academic distinction for the School. These five spires include: (1) auditing and assurance, (2) empirical finance, (3) supply chain management, (4) Web commerce, and (5) behavioral decision research. [1]

UCR first established the Graduate School of Administration in 1970. The school was subsequently renamed the Graduate School of Management in 1982. In 1994, the A. Gary Anderson Family Foundation donated $5 million to the school, which was renamed the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management. In 2008, the school was renamed the School of Business Administration, housing both the undergraduate business program and the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management. The MBA program launched in 1983. [1] Offered in the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management, the MBA program enrolls about 80 students per year as of 2011. [19] The degree is STEM-certified, allowing international students to work in the United States for up to 36 months. [20]
In 2010, MBA student interns participated in the first ever study of foreign direct investment in Riverside County. They worked with the Office of Foreign Trade at the Riverside County Economic Development Agency. [21]
A Ph.D. in Business Administration program launched fall 2011, and is interdisciplinary, focusing on management and marketing. The first cohort consisted of six students. [19]
A Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) program was launched in fall 2012. [22] This program builds a career in accounting through advanced education in audit and assurance, taxation, accounting information systems and ethics. It prepares students with the knowledge to meet the State of California Board of Accountancy education standards required for the Certified Public Accountant exam.
A Master of Finance (MFin) is offered to provide the essential financial acumen students need to impact and lead the financial management industry. It builds financial analysis skills that can be applied to national and international careers in corporate finance, investment banking and risk management. [23] The program allows students to concentrate in one of three areas of specialization: finance analytics, marketing analytics, or operations analytics. The degree is STEM-certified, allowing international students to work in the United States for up to 36 months. [24]

In 2009, the UCR School of Business launched an Executive MBA program. [27] Typical applicants to the 21-month program have seven to 10 years of career experience minimum. The first cohort was composed of managers in finance, distribution, a CPA, and physicians. [28] The program enrolled about 20-25 students per year. [19]
Students meet on alternating weekends at the UCR Palm Desert Graduate Center, and are required to attend a week-long residency and an international study trip. [29] In 2010, the EMBA cohort traveled to Shanghai for its international residency. [30]

The main campus sits on 1,900 acres (769 ha) in a suburban district of Riverside with a branch campus of 20 acres (8 ha) in Palm Desert. The John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management, also known as the UCLA Anderson School of Management, is the graduate business school at the University of California, Los Angeles, one of eleven professional schools. The school offers MBA, PGPX, Financial Engineering, Business Analytics, and PhD degrees. It was named after American billionaire John E. Anderson in 1987, after he donated $15 million to the School of Management—the largest gift received from an individual by the University of California at the time.
The Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business is the graduate business school of the University of Pittsburgh located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Although business education had its origins at the university in 1907, the Graduate School of Business was established in 1960 from a merger of its predecessors, the School of Business Administration and the Graduate School of Retailing. It was renamed in 1987 after businessman and university alumnus benefactor Joseph Katz. The Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington is the business school of the University of Washington in Seattle. Founded in 1917 as the University of Washington School of Business Administration, the school was the second business school in the western United States.

The College of Business is the business school of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. It is a fully accredited business school that offers undergraduate degrees in accounting, computer information systems, business analytics, economics, finance and business law, international business, management, marketing, and quantitative finance. Additionally, the College of Business offers two master of business administration programs – an Innovation MBA program and an Information Security MBA program. The college also offers a master of science in accounting. It has received recognitions and awards from multiple organizations, including being listed in BusinessWeek's Top 5% Undergraduate Programs and the 40th best business school in the United States. Its facilities are located in Zane Showker Hall on the southwestern part of JMU's campus.

Carl H. Lindner College of Business, also referred to as "Lindner" and "Lindner College," is a college of the University of Cincinnati. The college is located in Carl H. Lindner Hall. On June 21, 2011, the college was named after Carl Henry Lindner, Jr. in honor of the contributions he has made to the university, college, and the business community. The college has three undergraduate degree options, five master's degrees, and a doctoral program spread out over seven departments.
The Charles H. Lundquist College of Business is the University of Oregon's business school. Founded in 1914, the Lundquist College offers undergraduate degree programs in business administration and accounting, as well as MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Science in Sports Product Management, Master of Accounting, Master of Science in Finance, and PhD graduate programs. These degree programs are supported by four departments and one school of accounting.
The R.B. Pamplin College of Business, is Virginia Tech's business school. Founded in 1965, it has more than 41,000 alumni. The current Dean is Robert Sumichrast. In 1986 the college was renamed following a donation from alumnus Robert B. Pamplin and his son Robert B. Pamplin Jr.
