Urata Rama (born 20 December 1986) is a Kosovar sports shooter and physical educator, who belongs to the Jeton Ramaj Shooting Club in Vitina and has participated at the Olympic level since 2003. [1] In 2012, she was one of six athletes nominated by the Olympic Committee of Kosovo, but she was rejected for the 2012 Summer Olympics by the International Olympic Committee, which only accepted judoka Majlinda Kelmendi though as a representative of Albania. Rama, whose cousin Lumturie Rama also shoots competitively, competed at the 2015 European Games in Baku in the ISSF 10 meter air rifle, and went on to compete in the women's 10 metre air rifle event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is the governing body of the Olympic shooting events. It also regulates several non-Olympic shooting sport events. The Federation's activities include regulation of the sport, managing Olympic qualification events and quota places, as well as organization of international competitions such as the ISSF World Cup series and ISSF World Championships.
Abhinav Apjit Bindra is an Indian Olympic gold medallist, retired sport shooter, and businessman. He is the first and one of only two Indians to win an Individual Olympic Gold Medal. He is the first Indian to have held concurrently the world and Olympic titles for the men's 10-meter air rifle event, having earned those honors at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2006 ISSF World Shooting Championships. Bindra has also won seven medals at the Commonwealth Games and three medals at the Asian Games.

Sarah Scherer is an American sports shooter. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics, finishing in 7th place at Women's 10 metre air rifle. In the same event in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she finished 8th. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she also competed in the women's 50 m rifle - 3 positions event, finishing in 33rd place. She had previously won a junior silver medal in this event in 2010.
Stine Nielsen is a Danish sports shooter. She competed in the Women's 10 metre air rifle and women's 50 m 3 positions events at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics.
Dianelys Pérez is a Cuban sports shooter. She competed in the Women's 10 metre air rifle and the women's 50 metre three positions events at the 2012 Summer Olympics. At the 2016 Olympics, she again competed in both events.

Kosovo participated at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 5 to 21 August 2016. It was represented by the Olympic Committee of Kosovo (KOK/OKK) with a delegation of eight people, including three men and five women. Most of them were awarded places in their respective sporting events through wild card entries and Tripartite Commission invitations. Two Kosovar athletes, on the other hand, qualified directly for the Olympics on merit: judoka Nora Gjakova and Majlinda Kelmendi, the lone returning Olympian on the team after representing Albania four years earlier in London. The world's top-ranked judoka in her weight category and the frontrunner for the country's first Olympic medal, Kelmendi was selected to become Kosovo's flag bearer in the opening ceremony.
Sabrina Sena is an Italian sport shooter. She has been selected to compete for Italy in rifle shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics and has won a career total of three medals, one gold and two silver, in a major international competition, spanning the World Cup series and the European Championships. Sena is a member of her town's firing shooting range, and also, a resident athlete of the Italy national shooting team under Swiss-born rifle head coach and five-time Olympian Gabriele Bühlmann.

He has been selected to compete for Sweden in rifle shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has attained numerous top ten finishes in a major international competition, spanning the ISSF World Cup series and the European Championships. Haglund trains under head coach Stefan Lindblom for the national team, while shooting at Trollhättans Sportskytte.

He has been selected to compete for Sweden in air rifle shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has attained numerous top ten finishes in a major international competition, spanning the World and European Championships and the ISSF World Cup series. Åkerholm trains under head coach Stefan Lindblom for the national team, while shooting at a rifle gun range in Uppsala.
Oman competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, when the event was held from 5 to 21 August 2016. This was the nation's ninth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics. Four Omani athletes, two men and two women, were selected to compete in athletics and shooting at the Games. Among them were sprinter Barakat Al-Harthi, the lone returning Olympian from the previous Games.

Seonaid McIntosh is a British sports shooter who became the World Champion at the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships in the 50m Prone Rifle event. In 2019 she became Britain's most successful female rifle shooter of all time, winning five World Cup medals. She also became the first British Woman to rank World #1 for the 50m Rifle Three Position event and became European Champion in the 300m Rifle Prone event with an equal World Record score.
The 2021 European Shooting Championships were held from 22 May to 5 June 2021 in Osijek, Croatia. 1,473 athletes from 52 countries competed.
