Urhonigbe, also known as Usonigbe, is a town about 60 miles away from Benin City in Edo State, Nigeria. Urhonigbe is located in Orhionmwon LGA, Edo State. Urhonigbe, is one of the culturally rich and ancient town dominated by warriors during the Benin empire. [1]
The town comprises three major quatars (Idun n' Okaro popularly known as Iduneka, Idun-Ehen and Idun Ogo which is headed by the senior Qatar called Idun ugha). Added to these three major quatars of the town are two other villages, the Urhomehe and the Ovbiebo Camp. Urhonigbe is traditionally headed by Okavbo, who can be any confirm headest citizen of the town.
The Urhonigbe Festivals includes Izeki Festival which takes place at Urhonigbe in late February (1st 'moon' after the 12th moon) of every eighth year, The Igue Festival which takes place mild days of November month every year and The Ekaba Festival which is the most popular, it starts last two weeks of December and span across the year to end during the first week of the New year.

Ewuare, originally known as Prince Ogun, was the twelfth Oba of the Benin Empire from 1440 until 1473. Ewuare became king in a violent coup against his brother Uwaifiokun which destroyed much of Benin City. After the war, Ewuare rebuilt much of the city of Benin, reformed political structures in the kingdom, greatly expanded the territory of the kingdom, and fostered the arts and festivals. He left a significant legacy and is often considered the first King of the Kingdom of Benin.

Okpella is a clan situated along Benin-Abuja federal high way. Going by the last National Census figures, it has the population of 500,000, and is one of the three main towns that make up Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State. It is made up of two sub-clans, each with their villages; Ogute sub-clan, which is made up of Ogute-Oke, Awuyemi, Imiekuri and Imiegeli villages, and Oteku sub-clan, comprising Komunio and Iddo. The language spoken in the clan is Okpella, a dialect of Bini which has evolved. Okpella is known for its natural sedimentary rock based mineral resources, which include limestone, calcium, and granite, feldspar, talc, clay, marble, and it plays host to the defunct Bendel Cement Factory, BUA Cement Factory and Dangote Cement Factory.
