Uro is a town in Nigeria, in Isoko South Local Government Area in Delta State. It has an estimated population of 3,500 people. It is bordered by Ada, Okpe-Isoko, Ivrogbo and Ekpe. Uro is also actively involved in politics, as a result, they produced the incumbent chairman of the Isoko South council in person of Hon. Malik Ikpokpo, headquarters at Oleh. uro has also, at one time produced the councilor representing Irri Ward 2 at the council in Oleh, in person of Hon.Blessing Ese.
Uro is also recognized by the neighboring towns for their active football sport team known as {Altimate stars} of Uro, captained by !Samson Sammy Oneke (a.k.a. OPALE). The football team produced the best goalkeeper of the 2008 Efemona Efekodo football competition in person of Ese Ali (a.k.a. AGALI). Other notable players include Lucky Okpeta (a.k.a. MILICO), Kenneth Onabo, Uche Livingstone, Pimaro Ogaga, Iruoghene Efe, Monday Seemehapy, etc. The people of Uro are also known and loved by others by their hospitality and open-mindedness. In fact, they are known as the most peaceable people in Irri clan. This is as a result of the governing strategy implored in piloting the affairs of the community. There is the over-all eldest man and woman known as the 'ODIO' with their council members. There is the community chairman and chairlady, and the President General of the Community.
On the other hand, there is the students' union president, who is charged with the mandate of maintaining peace and order among the students and also to keep the Uro Community Town Hall clean at all times. They organize a yearly ceremony known as the Students' Union party which takes place every 27 December. There is also the youth chairman, who is charged with the mandate of keeping law and order among the youths and to keep the roads leading in and out of the community clean. Uro has a working central governance with delegated arms to keep the system running. The annual general meeting of Uro community usually takes place around the month of August. This A.G.M meeting usually attracts indigens within and in the diaspora.
It is the first town in the region to have electricity via a generator and the first town to have secondary school in Isoko South, called Uro Grammar School. It also has one primary school called Atanaru Primary School. Uro has produced some fine academicians, bankers and lawyers. These lawyers include Barrister (Dr.) Felix E. Eboibi and Barrister Foster Eloho Odojor.
Most inhabitants are Christians with a minority of followers of a native religion. Most inhabitants are farmers and some of Uro's nonresident indigenes are found in Lagos, Warri, Ughelli, Benin, Ijebu-Ode and Asaba.

Nsukka is a town, Local Government Area and Igbo subgroup in southeast Nigeria in Enugu State. Towns that share a common border with Nsukka, are Edem, Opi, Ede-Oballa, and Obimo. Other nearby towns including Aku and Uzo Uwani now are also referred to as Nsukka, because they fall into the political zoning system in Nigeria known as Senatorial Zone. As an Igbo subgroup, Nsukka covers the whole of Enugu North, Nsukka people are also found in Kogi state. As of 2006, Nsukka had a population of 309,633. Nsukka Town is known as the site of the University of Nigeria, the first indigenous Nigerian university, founded by Late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, first President of Nigeria. Emevor is a town in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, southern Nigeria. Emevor shares boundaries with Ebor-Iyede, Agharha, Otor Owhe and Orogun. It is about 13km to the East of Ughelli township stadium. There are two public secondary schools in the town: James Welch Grammar School Emevor and Emevor Mixed Secondary School; while the two public primary schools are Emehwa Primary school and Odion Primary School. There are other private schools in the community as well. It has two markets locally known as “Ekiedhe” and “Ekiewo”.
The Delta State University, Abraka - popularly known as DELSU - is a State government owned university in Nigeria with the main campus located at Abraka, Delta State and two campuses at Asaba and Oleh. The Oleh campus was established with the 1995 Amended Edict. The University is a multiple-campus university having three campuses within a distance of about 200 km apart. Currently, with a student population of about 36,000, the University offers a range of programmes from the full-time certificate, diploma and degree programmes to part-time evening and weekend degree programmes. The University offers postgraduate studies up to a doctoral level. A staff/student counselling centre, an e-learning centre, student accommodation and sporting facilities amidst others are available support services. It is one of over twenty-five state-owned universities which are overseen and accredited by the National Universities Commission.
The Urhobos are people located in southern Nigeria, near the northwestern Niger Delta. The Urhobo are the major ethnic group in Delta State, one of the 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Urhobos speak the Urhobo language.
Ase is a coastal community on the shores of the Ase River, off River Niger in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. Ase River derives its name from Ase town. Ase is an idyllic countryside with a spectacular and breathtaking natural beach, evergreen rain-forest vegetation rich in flora and fauna which overhangs the Ase Creek. Ase is a serene natural tourist resort still waiting to be explored. Ase shares common boundaries with Ibedeni, Onyah, Aviara, Uzere, Patani and Trofani. During the colonial era, Ase served as the commercial and administrative Headquarters for the colonial administrators. Relics of colonial presence still dot the landscape. John Holt and UAC are some of the companies that had trade offices and warehouses in Ase. The town is made up of descendants from Ndokwa speakers who have intermarried with the Isokos and Ijaws over the years. The Ase dialect of the Ukwuani language and also the Isoko language is spoken by the Ase people. The Ase people are of the same ancestral origin with Ase-Azaga, Ase-Imoniteh, and Ase-Omuku. Among the other Ases, Ase town is generally referred to as Ase Ebeneze or Ase Ukwu.
Iyede-Ame, derived its name from Iyede, an upland town in Isoko South Local Government Area in Delta State, Nigeria.
Onogbokor Clan is a clan whose origin is traced to Okpe-Isoko Kingdom, Isoko-North LGA of Nigeria. It is governed by a traditional ruler with the title Odio-ologbo, who hails from the royal family from Ushie quarter of the town. The first and current Odio-ologbo of the clan is His Royal Highness Gideon D. Akporeha I, who is the custodian of all political authority over the quarters and the communities. He is a well-known traditional ruler who was recognised and gazetted by the government of Delta State in 1996, and presented with a staff of office. He is a member of Delta state, Ndokwa-East and Isoko Traditional Councils. His reign withnessed peace after a protracted legal battle for the throne. He reigned from 1996 to 2017.
Irri is located in the Isoko South local government area of Delta state, Nigeria. It is one of the petroleum producing communities in Nigeria. It is bordered by Uzere, Aviara, Oyede, Idheze and Oleh. Descendants of Irri migrated to form other small villages like Ada, Idheze, Ivrogbo, Canaan Irri, uro Irri, and they are usually referred to as children of Irri Kingdom. The people are referred to as Emo Irri, which means children of Irri.
Sina Gérard is a Rwandan serial and social entrepreneur, the owner and manager of the food-processing company Urwibutso Enterprises. He is also a pig farmer, timber maker, bakery owner, supermarket owner, spice maker, and philanthropist. He was born in the Northern Province, the district of Rulindo; sector of Tare and cell of Nyirangarama. The later, Nyirangarama, became his nickname because of the impact the business on the community. He is married and has three children.
Awah, or Avba, is a town in Delta State, Nigeria. Located on the shores of the Ase River in the Ndokwa East Local Government Area, it is one of the Isoko speaking communities found in the Old Aboh political division. Until the creation of Delta State in 1991, it was formerly with the Ndoshimili Local Government Area with headquarters located in Kwale, in the defunct Bendel state.
