Usman Azad Urdu High School is located at Ratanlal Plot, Akola. [1] It is the largest Urdu school in Akola city, and provides education from fifth grade to high school. The school is affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Education.

The school is located in a large, single building which is shared with the K. M. Asghar Husain College of Arts, Commerce, and Science and the K. M. Asghar Husain College of Education.

Fasana-e-Azad is an Urdu novel by Ratan Nath Dhar Sarshar. It was serialized in Avadh Akhbar between 1878 and 1883 before it was published in four large volumes by the Nawal Kishore Press. The story follows a wandering character named Azad and his companion, Khoji, from the streets of late-nineteenth-century Lucknow to the battlefields of the Russo-Turkish War (1877–1878) in Constantinople and Russia. The work's status as a novel has been debated, but it is thought by most scholars to be one of the first novels in Urdu.

Khan Hasnain Aaqib is a renowned Urdu, Hindi, and English poet who has as many as 17 published books to his credit so far. He is primarily known for writing Ghazals and Nazm in Urdu, Hindi and Persian languages. He is the member of the Urdu and Persian language committee of Balbharti, Pune. His Persian poetry is largely acknowledged in Persian speaking regions as well. He is also the one who coined the term REFLECTIVE TRANSLATION for the work of literary and academic translation from one's mother tongue into any other language which is not the mother tongue of the translator. He initiated the movement insisting upon this term to be categorized and called as REFLECTIVE TRANSLATION
