Uzimon (born Daniel Douglas Frith) is a dancehall/reggae artist originally from Bermuda. He is probably best known internationally for his song "Steven Seagal 2.0", [2] which was featured on the front page of The Pirate Bay for an extended period, garnering the video viral status. [3] [4]

Uzimon began as a dancehall-parody project in 2007, but evolved into more of a serious stage act with a full live band, known for its dedication to the authentic reggae sound, and theatrical stage antics. [5] Most recently Uzimon headlined on the Lion's Den Mainstage at Boomtown, [6] one of the biggest festivals in Europe, along other acts such as The Wailers, Chronixx, Shaggy, and Easy Star Allstars. He recently performed onstage live with Major Lazer at the one-life one love festival in Bermuda. He has billed and performed with such artists as Ziggy Marley, Maxi Priest, Beres Hammond, Collie Buddz, [7] The Slackers, Langhorne Slim, and Hollie Cook. Largeup.com, the premier tastemaker for dancehall music calls Uzimon's work, "A masterstroke. Genius."[ citation needed ]

His 2011 album, Showdown was produced by Brett Tubin of Channel Tubes Records and features work from members of John Brown's body and instrumental and production work from the musician and producer Ticklah.

He is also known for singing "Call OffSec" [8] and "Try Harder 2.0", [9] [10] both songs produced by the renowned cyber-security firm Offensive Security Ltd (developers of the BackTrack/Kali Linux security suites, and the OSCP hacking certification). [11]

In 2013, he signed with the UK's Boom Artist's Agency, and is also a regular special guest crowd favorite at Webster Hall's weekly party, BASSment Saturdays. [12] He has also been involved in acting, receiving a part in the NBC's crime series, Law and Order - Special Victims Unit. [13]

In 2014, a collaboration between Uzimon, Coolio, Adil Omar and members of D12 was featured in Vice Magazine's Noisey.

In 2021, the song "McDojo Life" was created for the YouTube channel of the same name, keeping with the channel's topic of exposing fraudulent martial artists.

His best-known singles are "Dancehall King", "My level" and "We taking over". He is also known for Already from Beyoncé's Black is King Album which featured Major Lazer. His song "Dancehall King" earned him the Artiste of the Year at the 2014 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Wale is also an actor who appeared in the films Never Say Never, The trial of Shatta Wale and Shattered Lives. Wale's 2004 recording "Moko Hoo" was nominated for a Ghana Music Award.

Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, better known by his stage name Patoranking, is a Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Ijegun-Egba Satellite Town, Patoranking hails from Onicha, Ebonyi State. He started his music career doing underground collaborations, with artists such as XProject, Konga, Slam and Reggie Rockstone. He signed a record deal with K-Solo's Igberaga Records in 2010, releasing "Up in D Club" under the outfit. Patoranking became a protégé of Dem Mama Records after collaborating with Timaya on his song "Alubarika". In February 2014, he signed a record deal with Foston Musik and released "Girlie O", a single that put him in the limelight. On 9 February 2015, Patoranking announced on Instagram that he signed a distribution deal with VP Records. on September 28 Patoranking released a song titled Abule which he released ahead of his album scheduled to be released later in 2020. He once said, in 2020 that he once got inspiration for song on a football pitch while playing football.
