V3, also known, called, and referred to as V Three, are an African-American all-female sister Christian R&B and urban contemporary gospel music trio, who primarily plays contemporary R&B songs. They come from Atlanta, Georgia, where the group started making music in 2006. The group have released a studio album, V3. This album was their breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts.

Background

The all-female African-American sisters' group are from Atlanta, Georgia, where they formed in 2006. [1] They are from oldest to youngest, LaToya Kathleen Vinson, Sacha Jo Vinson, and Shelley Dionne Vinson-Bullock. [1] Their parents are Thomas and Dr. Carolyn Vinson, who are the pastors of High Point Christian Tabernacle located in the city of Smyrna, Georgia.

Music history

The group started in 2006, with their first studio album, V3, that was released on August 1, 2006, from EMI Gospel. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] This album was their breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart, where it peaked at No. 39. [6] [7] THeir second album titled "Alive" was released on November 14, 2016. [8]

All Sons & Daughters was an American Christian worship music duo, who performed in the styles of acoustic and folk music, originating from Franklin, Tennessee. The group's leads were Leslie Anne Jordan on vocals and guitar and David Alan Leonard on vocals and piano. They are worship leaders at Journey Church in Franklin, which is a non-denominational church. They have four full-length, commercial album releases, all on the Integrity Music label: Season One, Live, All Sons & Daughters and Poets & Saints. On February 9, 2018, after taking a year off they announced that their "season as a band has come to an end".

William Henry Murphy III is an American gospel recording artist and pastor. He started his music career in 2005, with the release of All Day on Epic Records. This album was listed on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. His second album, The Sound, was released in 2007 on Central South, and was listed on the Top Gospel Albums chart as well. He self-released We Are One in 2011. This album was listed on the Top Gospel Albums chart, along with the Heatseekers Albums chart. His fourth album, God Chaser, was released in 2013 on Verity. The album reached the Gospel Albums chart, as well as the Billboard 200. Murphy is pastor of the dReam Center Church of Atlanta, which he founded.

DeWayne Lamont Woods is an American gospel musician. He started his music career, in 2003, with the release of, The Poets, The Psalms, and the Psalmists, that was self-released. His second album, Introducing DeWayne Woods & When Singers Meet, was released in 2006, with Verity.This album would chart on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. His third album, My Life's Lyric, was released in 2010 on Verity and Jive Records. The album charted on the aforementioned chart. He released, Life Lessons, in 2015 with Soul Therapy Music Group. This album would chart on the aforementioned chart along with the Independent Albums chart.

Deon Earl Maurice Kipping is an American gospel musician. He started his music career, in 2006, with the release of, Real Life. Real Worship., by Love & Life Records. His second album, I Just Want to Hear You, was released in 2012 with Verity Records and RCA Inspiration. This album would chart on two Billboard charts Billboard 200 and the Gospel Albums chart.

This was a Billboard breakthrough release, with chartings The Billboard 200, the Top Gospel Albums, and the Independent Albums chart. He is the worship leader at First Baptist Church of Glenarden, located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where he has served since June 2008.

Benita Jones is an American gospel musician, recording artist, singer, songwriter, and worship leader. She started her music career, in 2004, with the release of Hold On by Light Records. This album was her breakthrough on the Billboard magazine charts, debuting at number 6 on the Gospel Albums chart. Since her debut album in 2004, Jones has released four more projects to date.

Isaac Thompson Carree III is an American gospel musician. He started his music career, in 1990, with the Gospel legend John P. Kee, yet his solo career commenced in 2011, with the release of Uncommon Me by Sovereign Agency. His second album, Reset, was released by Door 6 in 2013. Both albums charted on The Billboard 200 along with chartings on Gospel Albums and Independent Albums charts.

Monica Lisa Stevenson is an American gospel musician. Her first album, Finally...in God's Time, was released by Monicazmuzik in 2009. The subsequent album, Live in Atlanta, was released in 2013 by Central South Records. This was a Billboard magazine breakthrough release on the Gospel Albums chart and Heatseekers Albums chart. She was nominated at the 2009 Stellar Awards in two categories.

Wanda Nero Butler is an American gospel musician. Her first album, Reach for His Love, was released by Sog Secret in 1987, and her second album, New Born Soul, was released by the label in 1989. The subsequent two albums, Wanda and Live in Atlanta, was released in 1991 by Light Records. She released, Chike-Anyabwille, All to the Glory of God, and Family Prayer, was released in 1994, 1996, and 1999 respectively by Sound of Gospel. All albums charted with the lone exception of Wanda on the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart.

Javen P. Campbell, who goes by the stage name JAVEN, is an American gospel musician and Christian R&B recording artist. His music career started in 2002, with the release, Javen, by Crowne Music Group. He would release two more albums, 2006's Believer with JCM Records, and 2008's Keeping the Faith with Melrose Records, yet these failed to place on any charts. The subsequent album, Worship in the Now, was released in 2013 by Tyscot Records. This album would be his breakthrough released upon the Billboard Gospel Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts.

Kedrah Niyoki White, who goes by Niyoki Chapman and the stage name Niyoki, is an American gospel musician. Her first album, My Everything, was released by Executive Music Group alongside Dedicated 2 God Records in 2006. This album was a Billboard magazine breakthrough release upon the Gospel Albums chart. The subsequent album, Rest, was released in 2008 by those same two labels, and it charted on the aforementioned chart. She was a part of the girl group, Milenia, that got the chance to tour with Prince on the Hit n Run Tour in 2000 and 2001 before releasing their only album in 2006.

JJ Weeks Band is an American contemporary Christian music band from Macon, Georgia that began in 2001. The band is composed of lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist Jason Clint "JJ" Weeks, drummer Jon Poole, bass guitarist David Hart, and guitarist Cody Preston. Their 2013 release, All Over the World, with Inpop Records, saw several songs chart on various Christian Songs charts published by Billboard magazine, including: "Let Them See You," "What Kind of Love," and "Do Not Be Afraid." They are currently signed to Centricity Music where they released their most recent studio album, As Long as We Can Breathe in April 2016.

Covenant Worship is an American Christian music worship band from Dallas, Texas. Their group formed at Covenant Church, an interdenominational congregation, while the church was established by Pastors Mike and Kathy Hayes, in 1976. The group released, Heaven on Earth in 2009 and Never Going Back in 2010, independently. They have released 4 live albums, Standing in 2012, Kingdom in 2014, Take Heart in 2016 and Sand and Stars in 2017. In May 2017, after the release of Sand and Stars, worship pastors David and Nicole Binion felt the urging from God that their time with covenant was coming to an end. Since then Covenant Worship has released 2 live albums, 1 studio albums(with Covenant Church youth worship group Cov Kid), and 1 instrumental album.

Melinda Frances Watts is an American urban contemporary gospel artist and musician. She started her music career, in 2009, with her first studio album, People Get Ready, released by Razor & Tie. This album was her breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts.

Marcus Randell Cole is an American gospel musician and worship leader, Christian R&B, urban gospel and black gospel recording artist and singer. He started his music career, in 1996, with the gospel music group, Commissioned until 2018. He has released two studio albums, Chillin' Up in Heaven, in 1999, with Godson Records, and, Write My Song, in 2006, from PureSprings Gospel. The second album was his breakthrough release, entering the Billboard magazine charts.

Maurice Eugene Willis, who goes by the stage name Jimi Cravity, is an American Christian musician, who primarily plays a style Christian pop, EDM, R&B, and hip hop music. He has released two musical works, both being extended plays, and Maverick (2012) and Heaven (2017) with Sparrow Records and Six Steps Records. The Heaven EP charted on two Billboard magazine charts.
