Voetbal Vereniging Sneek Wit Zwart (abbreviated SWZ) is a football club from Sneek, Netherlands. It currently plays in the Derde Klasse, eight tier on Dutch football. [1]

History

Sneek Wit Zwart was founded on 26 November 1910 as Quick as a club for the working class. In 1912 Brunio merged into the club to become Rood-Blauw. In 1914 the club changed names to VV Sneek. In 1922 Sparta merged into the club and in 1922 the members of Voorwaarts joined.

21st century

In 2000, VV Sneek almost went bankrupt. It was kept out of insolvency by the Municipality of Sneek. In 2008, the club merged Wit Zwart Sneek to become Sneek Zwart Wit. In anticipation of a possible merger the youth departments of both clubs had already collaborated since 2005.

Sherida Spitse, the most capped player for the Netherlands women's national football team, started playing football at VV Sneek in 2004. She joined the international squad in 2006 and left Sneek in 2007.

In 2012, Zwart Wit Sneek reached the third round of the 2012–13 KNVB Cup, in which it lost 1–4 to AZ Alkmaar. [2]

The club won section championships in 1949, 1959, 1961, 1970, 1883, 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2005. In 2005 it also won the Dutch Championship of Amateur Soccer and the Dutch Championship of Saturday Soccer. Michel Vlap is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Twente. He has represented the Netherlands internationally at various youth levels. Though his preferred position is in an advanced midfield role, Vlap is also able to play on the wing and as a forward.

RCVV Zwart-Wit '28 was a Dutch Saturday football club from Rotterdam, dubbed the "Feyenoord of Saturday Football". Its women's team won the 2000 National Women's Cup then played in the Hoofdklasse. Its men's team won the National Amateur Championship in 1971, then played in the Hoofdklasse.

VV Goes Dutch football club

VV Goes is a football club from Goes, Netherlands. In the 1911–1912 season Goes played in the second tier of Dutch football. Over the years Goes played mostly in the Tweede and Derde Klasse. In the national 1934–35 KNVB Cup Goes started and lost third round against VV Terneuzen (2–0). It was booted first round in 1957–58 by NOAD (2–4) and in 2011–12 by Zwaluwen Vlaardingen (1–5). Since the 1990s Goes played at times in the Eerste Klasse. In 2017 the club promoted and began its third season in the Hoofdklasse, where it has previous played from 2012 to 2014.
