Valbona Selimllari (born 17 July 1973) is a beauty pageant model from Albania crowned Miss Albania in 1992. [1]

In 1999 Valbona represented Albania in Mrs Globe which was held in Riga, Latvia and she was crowned as Mrs Globe of 1999 among all other girls representing their countries worldwide.

Valbonë Valley National Park

The Valbona Valley National Park is a national park inside the Albanian Alps in northern Albania. The park covers a total area of 80 km2 (31 sq mi), encompassing Valbona River and its surrounding areas with mountainous terrain, alpine landscapes, glacial springs, deep depressions, various rock formations, waterfalls and the Valbona Valley with its dense coniferous and deciduous forest. It is characterized by its very remote areas which have a large preserved ecosystem all of which is primarily untouched with pristine quality. This vast pristine ecosystem is the centrepiece of what has been referred to as the Albanian Miracle of the Alps.

Maja e Thatë mountain in Albania

Maja e Thatë is a 2,406-metre-high (7,894 ft) mountain peak of the Albanian Alps (Prokletije) in Albania. It is located within Valbonë Valley National Park, roughly 2 km (1 mi) northwest of Valbonë and rises more than 1,500 m (4,921 ft) above the village. The mountain's southern and western lower slopes are relatively rich in beech and pine forests, while the higher slopes consist of very steep dolomite and limestone rock walls, suitable for mountaineering and rock climbing.

Gerti Shima is an Albanian professional basketball player who currently plays for Albanian side KB Tirana in the Albanian Basketball Superliga. Shima transferred for the second time to Sigal Prishtina in January 2016. He made a big comeback to his hometown club, where he has been playing professionally since he was 15 years old, KB Tirana on 3 November 2016.
