Valentin Uritescu (Romanian pronunciation: [valenˈtinuriˈtesku] ; 4 June 1941 – 17 June 2022) [1] was a Romanian film, television, and theatre actor. He is best known for his parts in The Conjugal Bed and The Last Assault . [2]

In 2011, Uritescu was chosen by Sony Pictures Animation to dub Grandsanta in Romanian in the animated film Arthur Christmas , [3] King in the Cinderella movie from Disney, and many animated characters. [4]

Flames over Treasures, is a 1988 Romanian film produced by Romania Film and directed by Nicolae Mărgineanu from a script by Ion Agârbiceanu from Agârbiceanu's novel "Archangels." It concerns a gold mine in Romania reported to be haunted. It stars Mircea Albulescu, Claudiu Bleonț, Magda Catone, Remus Margineanu, Imola Gaspar, Valentin Uritescu and Melania Ursu.

Sand Cliffs is a Romanian motion picture drama released in 1983 and banned four days after its première by the regime of Nicolae Ceaușescu. The film, adapted from the novel Zile de Nisip by Bujor Nedelcovici, was directed by Dan Pița, with dialogue and script by Bujor Nedelcovici and Dan Pița, cinematography by Vlad Păunescu, and a sound track composed by Adrian Enescu. Cast included Victor Rebengiuc, Marin Moraru, Gheorghe Visu, and Carmen Galin. Faleze de Nisip was screened in 1991 at the Berlin International Film Festival, in 1994 at Los Angeles, and was one of the three Romanian films to be shown in 2007 at the European Film Festival in Lima, Peru.

Mircea Daneliuc is a Romanian film director, screenwriter and actor. He has directed 19 films since 1975. In 1993 his film The Conjugal Bed was entered into the 43rd Berlin International Film Festival. Two years later, his film The Snails' Senator was entered into the 1995 Cannes Film Festival.
