Gudipati Venkatachalam (1894–1979), popularly known as Chalam, was an Indian Telugu-language writer and philosopher. He was considered to be one of the most influential personalities in modern Telugu literature.
Trivikram Srinivas is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Telugu cinema. He is one of the highest-paid directors in South Indian cinema. He has garnered six state Nandi Awards for Best Dialogue Writer and two Filmfare Awards for Best Director. In 2015, he received the BN Reddy National Award for his contributions to Indian cinema.
The Filmfare Award for Best Director – Telugu is presented by the Filmfare magazine as part of its annual Filmfare Awards South for Telugu films. The awards were extended to "Best Director" in 1972.
Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, known mononymously as Krishna, was an Indian actor, film director and film producer known for his work predominantly in Telugu cinema. In a career spanning more than five decades, he starred in over 350 films in a variety of roles. He is referred to as "Superstar" and "Nata Sekhara" in the Telugu media. In 2009, for his contributions to Indian cinema the Indian government awarded him the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award in the country. He was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Congress party in 1989. In 1997, he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award – South in addition to Honorary doctorate from Andhra University in 2008. He died on 15 November 2022 due to cardiac arrest.
Telugu theatre is Indian theatre in the Telugu language, based in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Gurajada Apparao wrote the play, Kanyasulkam in 1892, which is often considered the greatest play in the Telugu language. C. Pullaiah is cited as the father of Telugu theatre movement.

Grahanam (transl. Eclipse) is a 2004 Indian Telugu-language film directed by Indraganti Mohan Krishna. It is based on Dosha Gunam, a story written by Chalam. The film won critical acclaim upon release and received the National Film Award for Best Debut Film of a Director. The film premiered at the 36th International Film Festival of India, the 2004 Seattle First Independent South Asian Film Festival and the 2004 Mumbai Asian Film Festival. The film won two Nandi Awards.

It has received universal acclaim for combining the art form of Surabhi and an action flick based on illegal mining in Bellary. It stars Rana Daggubati and Nayanthara, while Kota Srinivasa Rao, Milind Gunaji, Murali Sharma, Brahmanandam, Posani Krishna Murali, and L. B. Sriram appear in supporting roles. Mani Sharma composed the music for the film.

Krishna Mukunda Murari is an Indian Telugu language drama television series that aired on Star Maa. It aired from 14 November 2022 to 8 June 2024, replacing Devatha - Anubandhala Alayam.
