Vanilla Series

The Vanilla Series is Digital Works' brand for its hentai (pornographic) anime, most of which are based on hentai video games. In North America, the series is usually released by Critical Mass. However, at least three of the series was released by other studios. Angel Blade was released by Anime 18, while Office Affairs and Co-Ed Affairs were released by Kitty Media.

<i>Azumanga Daioh</i> Manga by Kiyohiko Azuma

Azumanga Daioh is a Japanese yonkoma comedy manga series written and illustrated by Kiyohiko Azuma. It was serialized from February 1999 to May 2002 in the monthly magazine Dengeki Daioh by MediaWorks; three additional chapters were published in Shogakukan's Monthly Shōnen Sunday in May 2009 to celebrate the manga's tenth anniversary. The manga was first released in English by ADV Manga, and later re-issued by Yen Press.

Lupin III, also written as Lupin the Third, Lupin the 3rd, or Lupin the IIIrd, is a Japanese media franchise created by Monkey Punch. The series follows the endeavors of master thief Lupin III, grandson of gentleman thief Arsène Lupin, joined by his criminal gang. The original Lupin III manga began in Weekly Manga Action on August 10, 1967.

<i>Berserk</i> (1997 TV series) 1997 Japanese anime series

Berserk, also known in Japan as Kenpū Denki Berserk, is a Japanese anime television series based on Kentaro Miura's manga series of the same name. The series was produced by Nippon Television and VAP, animated by Oriental Light and Magic and directed by Naohito Takahashi. It was broadcast for 25 episodes on Nippon TV from October 1997 to April 1998. Berserk was formerly licensed for English release in North America by Media Blasters, and later acquired by Discotek Media. Berserk has been well-received, with critics praising its storytelling, characters, setting, and soundtrack by Susumu Hirasawa.

<i>Planetes</i> Japanese manga series

Planetes is a Japanese hard science fiction manga written and illustrated by Makoto Yukimura. It was serialized in Kodansha's seinen manga magazine Morning between January 1999 to January 2004, with its chapters collected into four tankōbon volumes. It was adapted into a 26-episode anime television series by Sunrise, which was broadcast on NHK from October 2003 through April 2004. The story revolves around the crew of a space debris collection craft in the year 2075.

<i>Peacemaker Kurogane</i> Japanese manga series

Peace Maker Kurogane is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nanae Chrono. It is unrelated to the Peace Maker manga by Ryōji Minagawa. The story begins in 19th century Japan before the Meiji Restoration, a chain of events that led to enormous changes in Japan's political and social structure while the seeds of the revolution are being planted. The story follows the boy protagonist, Tetsunosuke Ichimura, who joins the Shinsengumi while seeking strength to avenge his parents' death at the hands of a Chōshū rebel.

<i>Golden Boy</i> (manga) Japanese manga series

Golden Boy is a Japanese sex comedy manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Egawa. It was serialized in Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Super Jump from 1992 to 1997, with its chapters collected in ten tankōbon volumes. It tells the story of Kintaro Oe, a 25-year-old freeter "travelling student", who despite having met the requirements for a law degree, left Tokyo University without graduating. Kintaro is living freely, roaming Japan from town to town, job to job. During his travels, Kintaro meets several women whose lives he dramatically changes, despite poor first impressions. He constantly observes and studies the people and events around him, recording his findings in a notebook he carries on his belt.

<i>Miyuki-chan in Wonderland</i> Manga

Miyuki-chan in Wonderland is a comedy, yuri manga written and illustrated by Clamp, an all-female manga artist team consisting of Satsuki Igarashi, Mokona, Tsubaki Nekoi, and Nanase Ohkawa. The story focuses on the eponymous protagonist, a Japanese high-school girl who finds herself pulled into various worlds populated by women who consider her appealing.

<i>Adventure Kid</i> Japanese manga series

Adventure Kid is an erotic manga series written and illustrated by Toshio Maeda. It was published by Wanimagazine into four volumes from 1988 to 1989 and it was adapted into an original video animation (OVA). Mixing horror, fantasy and comedy, it follows Norizaku and Midori as they find a demonic computer that sends them to Hell and destroy their world. They are transported to a World War II setting and they have to prevent their future to be ruined.

Icarus Publishing is an American comic book publisher established in 2002. It specializes in localizing hentai manga for the English market.

<i>Yumeria</i> Japanese manga series & video game

Yumeria (ゆめりあ) is a Japanese anime series and a PlayStation 2 video game created by Namco. The video game and anime were both initially released in Japan in 2003. Studio Deen produced a 12-episode anime television series broadcast on TBS in Japan in 2004. The series was originally licensed in North America by ADV Films who initially released the series in three English language DVD volumes in 2005 and 2006.

<i>Dokkoida?!</i> Japanese light novel series

Dokkoida?!, known in Japan as Sumeba Miyako no Cosmos-sō Suttoko Taisen Dokkoidaa is a comedic Japanese light novel series about a boy, Suzuo Sakurazaki, who is hired by a preteen space alien girl, Tanpopo, to try out an experimental new suit developed by the intergalactic toy company that she works for. Suzuo agrees to work for her since he is unemployed and needs the job to pay the rent. The suit gives him super powers, with which he fights bad guys and people from rival intergalactic toy companies and organizations.

<i>Godannar</i> Anime series

Godannar is a Japanese anime television series created by Yasuchika Nagaoka, Anime International Company and Project Godannar, which consists of IMAGICA Entertainment, Taki Corporation, KlockWorx, NTT Data Contents Planing, Sojitz and Oriental Light and Magic. The series is produced by AIC and OLM, with Nagaoka serving as director and Hiroyuki Kawasaki as its main scriptwriter. The first season aired in Japan from October 1 to December 24, 2003, on AT-X. A second season later aired from April 5 to June 29, 2004. Both seasons were licensed by ADV Films for North America, but was licensed by Sentai Filmworks in 2013.

<i>Zaion: I Wish You Were Here</i> 2001 original video animation

Zaion: I Wish You Were Here is a four-episode Japanese science fiction original net animation (ONA) released by Gonzo in 2001. The story is set in the near future, when Earth is threatened by a spaceborne virus that turns humans into violent creatures and enhanced soldiers are fighting a war against the creatures in order to ensure the survival of the human race. The series was directed by Seiji Mizushima and written by Natsuko Takahashi. Music for the series was composed by Kenji Kawai.

<i>X</i> (TV series) Japanese anime television series

X, also known as X TV, is a Japanese anime television series based on Clamp's manga series of the same name. It was produced by Madhouse and directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri. Its twenty-four episodes were broadcast in Japan on WOWOW from October 2001 to March 2002. The story takes place at the end of the days, in the year 1999. It follows Kamui Shiro, a young esper who returns home to Tokyo after a six-year absence to face his destiny as the one who will determine humanity's fate. There, he discovers two organizations who want to take him as well as another person who shares Kamui's same talent.

<i>Magical Kanan</i> Japanese adult visual novel

SeptemCharm: Magical Kanan is a Japanese adult visual novel developed and published by Terios. It was later adapted into a hentai OVA series; four episodes were released from August 25, 2000, to November 25, 2001, and two additional episodes, titled Magical Kanan Special: Palpitating Summer Camp!, were released from August 25, 2002 to February 25, 2003. A 13-episode anime television series adaptation titled Magical Kanan, which excluded the pornographic content, was broadcast from January 1 to March 26, 2005.

<i>Demon Fighter Kocho</i> Japanese manga series by Nonki Miyasu

Demon Fighter Kocho is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nonki Miyasu. It was published in Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump from 1995 to 1997, with its chapters collected in four tankōbon volumes. It was adapted into two live-action films and an original video animation (OVA) in 1997. The OVA was released on DVD by Media Blasters in North America in 2000.

<i>Bondage Mansion</i> Japanese hentai anime

Bondage Mansion is a Japanese erotic direct-to-video anime series, which is part of the Vanilla Series.

Campus is an eroge and OVA with only two episodes. The whole series features frequent sexual intercourse, oral sex and masturbation and revolves around a college student, Takakage.
