Currently she is enrolled in the EFPM program at the Indian School of Business, as a doctoral student, researching the area of women's involvement in family businesses.

She did her Bachelor of Arts (BA) from St. Francis College for Women, Hyderabad, and then studied at the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India, ICFAI. [3] for the dual program of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA). She was awarded a Silver Medal for standing second in her graduating PGDBA class at ICFAI Business School. She also secured a place on the Dean’s Honor Roll for achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA for three consecutive semesters, while pursuing her undergraduate study at Wichita State University in USA.

Career

Datla started her career as an Executive Director at Raasi Finance and Investments Ltd in 1994, where she later became the Managing Director and continued till December1999. She then joined Anjani Portland Cement Ltd as Director Finance and continued till May 2008.

Vanitha joined Elico by August 2009, where she currently drives the operations, marketing and strategy teams as the Vice Chairperson and Managing Director.

An active member of Confederation of Indian Industry, She was elected as the first Chairperson of CII. [3] for the State of Telangana in the year 2014 and continued for a second term till March 2016. Since then she has held many positions at CII and IWN (Indian Women Network) at the State, Regional and National Levels.

Telangana State in southern India

Telangana is a state in India situated on the south-central stretch of the Indian peninsula on the high Deccan Plateau. State Bank of Hyderabad

Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India

The Institute of Financial Analysts of India (IFAI) was established in 1984 as a non-profit educational society in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The institution has been offering education to students across India through its various programs in the field of higher education. The institution was founded by N. J. Yasaswy, Besant C. Raj and Dr. Prasanna Chandra, the Director of Centre for Financial Management.

The Atheist Centre is an institution founded by Goparaju Ramachandra Rao and Saraswathi Gora (1912–2006) to initiate social change in rural Andhra Pradesh based on the ideology of Gandhism and Atheism. Founded in 1940 at Mudnur village in Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh, India the Centre was later shifted to Vijayawada in 1947. The Singareni Collieries Company Limited or SCCL is a government-owned coal mining company in India.
