Vedma Bhojju is an Adivasi leader and politician from Telangana state. [1] He was elected as an MLA from Khanapur constituency in the 2023 assembly elections.
He is the son of a poor tribal couple, Vedma Bhimrao and Girijabai, hailing from Kallurguda, Utnuru mandal in the united Adilabad district. He still resides in the Indiramma house allocated by the Congress government. A postgraduate and first worked in the Adivasi Student Association, then as a consultant in the Adivasi Rights Struggle Committee (Thudumdebba) and then as a contract employee. He resigned from his job two years ago and joined the Congress party in the presence of PCC President Revanth Reddy. [2]
The Telugu Desam Party is an Indian regional political party with influence in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was founded by Telugu movie star N. T. Rama Rao (NTR) on 29 March 1982 and has focused on supporting Telugu people. The party has won a five-time majority in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and has emerged as the most successful political outfit in the state's history. Ramesh Rathod was an Indian politician from the state of Telangana. He was born in Tadihadpanur of Adilabad District and belonged to the Bharatiya Janata Party from 2021. Komaram Bheem (1901–1940), alternatively Kumram Bheem, was a revolutionary leader in Hyderabad State of British India from the Gond tribes. The Gunjala Gondi lipi or Gunjala Gondi script is a script used to write the Gondi language, a Dravidian language spoken by the Gond people of northern Telangana, eastern Maharashtra, southeastern Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. Approximately a dozen manuscripts in the script were recovered from Gunjala, a Gond village in Adilabad district of Telangana, by a team of researchers from the University of Hyderabad, led by Professor Jayadheer Tirumala Rao. The script and preliminary font were unveiled in early 2014.
Adilabad - Hazur Sahib Nanded Express is an intercity train of the Indian Railways connecting Adilabad in Telangana and Nanded of Maharashtra. It is currently being operated with 17409/17410 train numbers on a daily basis. It was flagged off on 14 July 2012.

Sadarmat Barrage is an under-construction barrage across Godavari River at Ponkal village, Mamda mandal, Nirmal district of Telangana State. This barrage is situated 32 km downstream of Sriram Sagar Project, on the Godavari river and about 7 km upstream of Sadarmat Anicut. The project will provide irrigation facilities for an ayacut of 20,000 acres in Nirmal district of Telangana State.
The Indravelli massacre was an incident on April 20, 1981, where a gathering of Gond Adivasis, some organised by the Girijana Rythu Coolie Sangham (GRCS) front group of the Kondapalli Seetharamaiah faction of the CPI (ML) and some attending the local market, were fired on by police officers at the village of Indravelli in what was then Andhra Pradesh, but today in the state of Telangana. The rally was organised to demand land certificates for Adivasis, and to protest encroachments by non-Adiviasis. While initially granted permission to assemble, this was later revoked in fear of agitation by Naxalites.
