The Women's Japan Basketball League is the premier women's basketball league in Japan. There are currently 14 teams playing in the league, with all of the teams being from cities in the main Japanese island of Honshu. However, from the 2024-25 season, there will be a change to a two level league structure, with the “W-League Premier” being the top league, and the “W-League Future” being the lower league.
