Vicente Eduardo Mosquera Mena (born December 9, 1979, in Panama City, Panama) is a Panamanian professional boxer. He is a former World Boxing Association (WBA) super-featherweight champion.
On April 30, 2005, he defeated Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai (Yodsanan 3-K Battery) for the WBA world championship title, by a unanimous decision. The official scorers saw it 118–108, 116–111, 115–112. In the fight, Nanthachai was knocked down three times (in the first, third, and eleventh rounds). Mosquera also was knocked down in the third round. [1]
On August 5, 2006, Mosquera lost his belt to Edwin Valero by TKO in the 10th round.

Several days after the Valero fight, Mosquera was involved in an unclear altercation that resulted in the death of a person. [2] He remained incarcerated for three and a half years before being found innocent in trial.
Eusebio Pedroza was a Panamanian boxer who held the WBA and lineal featherweight championship from 1978 to 1985, having defended the title against 18 different contenders, more than any other boxer in featherweight history. His cousin, Rafael Pedroza, was a world champion also, in the junior bantamweight division, although Rafael's reign as world champion was short-lived. Eusebio Pedroza died one day before his 63rd birthday.

He was an undefeated former world champion in two weight classes, having held the WBA super featherweight title from 2006 to 2008 and the WBC lightweight title from 2009 to 2010. A southpaw known for his highly aggressive fighting style and exceptional punching power, Valero remains the only champion in WBC history to win every fight in his career by knockout. In 2010, Valero died by suicide in jail after being arrested on suspicion of killing his wife.
