Vickram Bahl

Vickram Bahl (born 1964) is a leading Television journalist and commentator in India.

He is currently the Editor in Chief of the Television production News and Features Agency, ITMN, , and has a weekly talk show, Insight - with Vickram Bahl, [1] which is telecast on Doordarshan, , India's National Broadcaster since 2005. This long running weekly show has had Royalty, Heads of States and Governments and leading artists as guests. The other popular programme produced and presented by him is Opportunities Overseas, also telecast on Doordarshan.

He has been presenting on popular television programmes such as Biz Talk, Future Tense, Face to Face and Global Vision on Jain TV, which is among the first Indian private television satellite channels. He has also been presenting the Annual Indian Budget on Jain TV and Sahara TV.

The interview with President Vladimir Putin of Russia in January 2007 had been the only full-length television interview given to Indian TV around his trip to India. [2]

Chanakya is a 47-part drama epic Indian television historical drama written and directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi that was originally telecasted on DD National from 8 September 1991 to 9 August 1992. Produced by Prakash Dwivedi, the series is a fictionalized account of the life and times of 4th century BCE Indian economist, strategist and political theorist Chanakya and is based on events occurring between 340 BCE and 321/20 BCE, starting with Chanakya's boyhood and culminating in the coronation of Chandragupta Maurya. Lok Sabha TV was an Indian public cable television network channel that offered coverage of central government proceedings and other public affairs programming. Rajya Sabha TV was an Indian public cable television network channel owned and operated by Rajya Sabha that covered the proceedings of Rajya Sabha. It has now been replaced by Sansad TV. Apart from telecasting live coverage of Rajya Sabha proceedings, RSTV also brought detailed analyses of parliamentary affairs. While focused on current national and international affairs, it provided a platform for knowledge-based programmes for the discerning viewer.
