Victoria Elizabeth Horner (born 11 May 1976) is a female English former competitive swimmer.

Swimming career

She represented Great Britain in the Olympic Games and European championships. She won a bronze medal in the 4×200-metre freestyle relay at the 1995 European Aquatics Championships. Her team finished 10th in the same event at the 1996 Summer Olympics. [1] She also won a silver medal in the 400-metre freestyle at the European Short Course Swimming Championships 1998. [2] She represented England, at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada [3] [4] and won a silver medal at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the 400 metres freestyle. She is a three times winner of the British Championship in 400 metres freestyle (1997, 1998 and 2000). [6] [7] [8]

Personal life

Her husband, Rob Hayles, is a retired Olympic sprint cyclist. [1] They have a daughter, born 23 January 2006. [9]

At his peak between 1986 and 1988 he won the gold medal in 100 metre butterfly at the 1986 Commonwealth Games, the 1987 European Aquatics Championships and the 1987 Summer Universiade, as well as the 100 metre freestyle gold at the same Universiade. Winning the bronze medal at the 1986 World Aquatics Championships, Jameson's career in the pool culminated in winning the bronze medal in the 1988 Summer Olympics, his second and final Olympic Games.

Kim Simmone Geraldine Jacobs is a female retired British athlete who competed in the 100 metres and 200 metres. She represented Great Britain at four Olympic Games (1988–96), winning a bronze medal as a 17-year-old at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics in the 4 x 100 metres relay.
