Victor Mela Danzaria

Victor Mela Danzaria (born 1973) is a politician in the Billiri Local Government Area of Gombe State. [1] He is a member of House of Representatives in Nigeria, representing the Balanga-Billiri Federal constituency in Gombe State [2] and Vice Chairman of Solid Minerals Committee. [3]

He was an active member and Executive of the Nigerian-Canadian Association of Saskatchewan (NCAs) since its inception in 2016. [4]

He contested under All Progressives Congress party in February 2019 and polled 45,112 votes to defeat a serving member, Ali Isa, who scored 35,395 at the National Assembly elections. [5]

He received a master's degree in Geology from University of Jos, Plateau State.

Aishatu Jibril Dukku, is a Nigerian educationist and politician from Gombe State. She was a former Principal of Federal Government Girl's College, Bajoga, Gombe State. She served as Federal Minister of State for Education during the presidency of the late Umaru Musa Yar' Adua. Since then, she has served as two terms member of the Nigerian National Assembly. She served in the 8th and 9th Assemblies of the Nigerian House of Representatives representing Dukku and Nafada Federal constituency, Gombe State, Nigeria. She was the chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Electoral and Political Parties. She was defeated in the 2023 House of Representatives elections in her reelection bid.

The Gombe State House of Assembly is the legislative arm of the government of Gombe State of Nigeria. It is a unicameral legislature with 24 members elected from the 11 local government areas of the state delineated into 24 state constituencies. Local government areas with considerably larger populations are delineated into two constituencies to give equal representation. This makes the number of legislators in the Gombe State House of Assembly 24.

The 2019 Gombe State gubernatorial election occurred in Nigeria on 9 March 2019, the APC nominee Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya won the election, defeating Usman Bayero Nafada of the PDP. Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya emerged APC gubernatorial candidate after scoring 859 votes and defeating his closest rival, Mohammed Jibrin Barde who received 463 votes. He picked Manasseh Daniel Jatau as his running mate.

The 2015 Gombe State gubernatorial election was the 8th gubernatorial election of Gombe State. Held on April 11, 2015, the People's Democratic Party nominee Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo won the election, defeating Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of the All Progressives Congress.

Karu Simon Elisha is a Nigerian politician and a member of the Nigerian National Assembly delegation from Gombe State at the 9th National Assembly (Nigeria).

The 2023 Gombe State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Gombe State, concurrent with elections to the Gombe State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya is running for a second term and was renominated by his party.

The 2023 Nigerian Senate elections in Gombe State will be held on 25 February 2023, to elect the 3 federal Senators from Gombe State, one from each of the state's three senatorial districts. The elections will coincide with the 2023 presidential election, as well as other elections to the Senate and elections to the House of Representatives; with state elections being held two weeks later. Primaries were held between 4 April and 9 June 2022.

Usman Bello Kumo is a Member of House of Representatives representing Akko federal constituency of Gombe State. He holds a degree in Law obtained from Bayero University, Kano. He started politics with campus politics at Bayero University, Kano where he became the President of the Student Union Government of the University in 1997/1998 academic session. He was the chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Police Affairs, the same position he held in the Seventh Assembly and a former two times Chairman of Akko Local Government Area. He was born in Kumo, headquarters of the Akko Local Government Area. He is the only APC Member House of Representatives that Returns Elected in the 2023 general elections in the State.

Ali Isa is a Nigerian politician and administrator. He is a former member of Nigeria's House of Representatives, representing the Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituencies of the Gombe state. He was re-elected in the 2023 General election

James Adisa Owolabi is a businessman and a Nigerian politician serving as the Federal Representative for the Ifako Ijaiye constituency in the 9th Nigerian National Assembly at the House of Representatives. A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Owolabi serves on the Pilgrims Affairs Committee and is its vice chairman until May 2023.

Israel Sunny-Goli is a Nigerian politician and member of the Federal House of Representatives in the 9th National Assembly. He was a member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly before his election to the National Assembly.
