Victor Rasuk (born January 15, 1984) [1] is an American actor.
Rasuk grew up in New York City. He is the son of Dominican parents. [2] His mother worked as a seamstress, and his father at an auto shop. [3] He has one brother, actor Silvestre Rasuk, [4] with whom he starred in Raising Victor Vargas . Rasuk attended performing arts school as a teenager, and began acting at 14.
Rasuk landed his first film role in the Peter Sollett-directed short film Five Feet High and Rising. Two years later, Sollett suggested expanding the short film into a feature-length film, Raising Victor Vargas , which earned Rasuk a nomination for Best Debut Performance at the 19th Independent Spirit Awards. In his next film, Rock Steady, he played a character named Roc. Two years later, he took a leading role in Haven .
Rasuk portrayed skateboarder Tony Alva in the 2005 biographical drama film Lords of Dogtown . The part included surfing and performing skateboarding tricks. Although the more complicated maneuvers were performed by stuntmen, Rasuk is a method actor and worked on remaining in character both on and off screen. Believing he had mastered skating a huge ramp in only his second week of training, he fractured one of his orbital bones. [5] He says that the accident likely earned him more respect from serious skaters within the cast and crew.
Rasuk starred in the two-season HBO comedy-drama series How to Make It in America . [6] From 2014 to 2015, he starred as Detective Ben Caldwell in the CBS drama series Stalker . In 2020, Rasuk played the male lead Daniel Garcia in the ABC series The Baker and the Beauty . [7] [8]

Skateboarding is an action sport that involves riding and performing tricks using a skateboard, as well as a recreational activity, an art form, an entertainment industry job, and a method of transportation. Originating in the United States, skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. Anthony Frank Hawk, nicknamed Birdman, is an American professional skateboarder, entrepreneur, and the owner of the skateboard company Birdhouse. A pioneer of modern vertical skateboarding, Hawk completed the first documented "900" skateboarding trick in 1999. He also licensed a skateboarding video game series named after him, published by Activision that same year. Hawk retired from competing professionally in 2003 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential skateboarders.
Dogtown and Z-Boys is a 2001 American documentary film co-written and directed by Stacy Peralta, produced by Agi Orsi, and narrated by Sean Penn. The documentary explores the pioneering of the Zephyr skateboard team in the 1970s and the evolving sport of skateboarding. He was a pioneer of vertical skateboarding and one of the original members of the Zephyr Competition Skateboarding Team, also known as the Z-Boys. The Transworld Skateboarding Magazine ranked him eighth in its list of the "30 Most Influential skateboarders" of all time.
Jay J. Adams was an American skateboarder. As a teen, he was the youngest member of the Zephyr Competition Skateboarding Team (Z-Boys). His spontaneous freestyle skateboarding style, inspired by ocean surfing, helped innovate and popularize modern skateboarding. His aggressive vertical tricks make him one of skateboarding's most influential stylists. He has been called "the original seed" of skateboarding.

The American version is developed and executive-produced by Dean Georgaris, Becky Hartman Edwards, David Frankel, Avi Nir, Alon Shtruzman, Peter Traugott, Assi Azar and Rachel Kaplan for Universal Television. In June 2020, it was canceled after one season.
