Victoria Recreation Ground is a public park in New Barnet in the London Borough of Barnet, United Kingdom. It is one of Barnet's 'Premier Parks'. [1]
It is mainly grassed with a children's playground, football pitches, tennis and basketball courts, a bowling green and a car park. There are flower beds which are the remains of a formal flower garden. [2]
The park is a roughly square area laid out in the late nineteenth century on land previously known as 'Mrs Cook's Farm', and Barnet Football Club played there in the 1889–90 season. [2]
The Shirebourne Brook runs along the south side of the park and the Pymmes Brook Trail passes north–south through the park.
There is access from Park Road, Victoria Road, Lawton Road, and by a footpath and footbridge from Cromer Road.
The London Borough of Barnet, located on the northern periphery of London and having much of the area within its boundaries in the Metropolitan Green Belt, has many parks and open spaces. In addition there are large areas taken over by cemeteries and golf courses, and part of Hampstead Heath.

The meadow covers an area of 83⁄4 acres. With meadows there are not usually many facilities. Heavers is no exception; the only facility stated on the council's website is a footpath through a flood meadow.
The Pymmes Brook Trail is located in the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey and is just under 13 miles (21 km) long. The brook is named after William Pymme, a local landowner.

This was documented as early as 1321 and had disappeared by 1754.
Clitterhouse Recreation Ground or Clitterhouse Playing Fields is a park and Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation in Brent Cross in the London Borough of Barnet. It is a large area of mown grass with a children's playground, bordered by thick hedges. Clitterhouse Stream, a tributary of the River Brent, runs along its eastern border.

Bethune Park or Bethune Recreation Ground is a public park in Friern Barnet in the London Borough of Barnet. Most of it is mown grass, and it also has a large nature reserve area, a children's playground, a basketball court and a tennis court.
Barnet Common was an area of common land to the south of the town of Chipping Barnet in what is now north London. The Common was created after a wood was cleared in the 16th century and was mostly used by local people to graze their animals. It was the location of a Digger colony and of the Barnet Physic Well at which mineral water was consumed. Part of the Common was enclosed in 1729 and the rest in 1815, leading to development on the north and south sides, and later infilling.
