Vidyadhar Kagita is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for working in Telugu cinema. He is known for Gaami (2024).
Vidyadhar was born in Bhimavaram, his father Kagita Srinivas Rao was an educator in the private sector, and his mother Kagita Padma, was a homemaker. Vidyadhar pursued his early education at St. Marks High School, Secunderabad, and Sri Kakatiya Merit School, Bhimavaram before he moved to Hyderabad and went to pursue Mechanical engineering at Malla Reddy Engineering College and graduated in 2014. Vidyadhar met Vishwanath Chelumala, and collaborated for the film, Gaami . In 2017, he produced two short films, Vaitharani and Vara with Karthik Sabareesh as producer. [2] [3] In an interview with The Hindu , Vidyadhar said "As I worked on the script, I realised the importance of catering to a larger audience. I wanted to do something new within the format of mainstream cinema." [1]
