Cartel de Santa is a Mexican hip hop group from Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico, founded by Hector Montaño and Ronaldo Sifuentes. The band started playing in 1996 as part of the Avanzada Regia musical movement and Artilleria Pesada. Currently composed by Eduardo Davalos de Luna, also known as MC Babo or Babo, Rowan Rabia (beatmaker) and DJ Agustín. They have been referred to as one of the most notable Mexican hip-hop groups.
Ananda is the eighth studio album by Mexican singer-songwriter Paulina Rubio, released on September 18, 2006, through Universal Latino. Its pop rock music incorporates latin, dance, folk, electropop, alternative and flamenco styles with instrumentation from synthpop beats, guitars, drums, synthesizers, strings and Spanish musical instruments. Its themes range from love, empowerment, and dancing. Contributions to the album's production came from a wide range of producers, including Cachorro López, Rick Wake, Tricky Stewart, Áureo Baqueiro, TOY Hernández and Gustavo Santaolalla. El Cartel: The Big Boss is the fourth studio album and eighth overall by Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee. It was released on June 5, 2007, by El Cartel Records through Interscope Records and It is the third installment following El Cartel (1997) and El Cartel II (2001). It explores lyrics and themes ranging from immigration, tabloid rumors, romance, dance and protest against political corruption. The album production persecutes an aggressive sound and was focus on hardcore reggaeton and Latin urban mixed with elements of tropical rhythms, R&B and straight-up hip-hop on a few tracks. The album's theme was to solidified the artist status at the top of Latin music industry and rivals. It features guest appearances Akon, Fergie, Will.i.am, Nicole Scherzinger, Héctor el Father and contains the contributions of producers such as Scott Storch, Luny Tunes, Tainy, and Mr. Collipark.

Mundial ('Worldwide') is the sixth studio album and tenth overall by Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee through El Cartel Records and Sony Music Latin released on April 27, 2010. The album was supported by three official singles: "Grito Mundial", "Descontrol" and "La Despedida". Viva el Príncipe is the thirteenth studio album by Mexican recording artist Cristian Castro, released on 30 November 2010 by Universal Music Latino. It is a tribute album to Mexican singer José José, Castro's musical idol. The album was produced by Rafael Pérez-Botija who also produced for José José. Viva el Príncipe covers twelve songs by José José and includes a poem recited by Castro's idol. Recording took place on August 2010 at The Hit Factory Criteria in Miami, Florida.

It was produced by Los de la Nazza and Musicólogo & Menes. The album explores music genres as of EDM, dance-pop, Latin pop and electropop and essential reggaeton. According to Yankee himself, "Prestige is best and most complete album". The album met with positive reviews and it receive a nomination for Best Urban Album at the 14th Annual Latin Grammy Awards and for Urban Album of the Year at the Lo Nuestro Awards of 2013.
Fórmula, Vol. 1 is the debut studio album by American singer Romeo Santos, released on November 8, 2011, by Sony Music Latin. It is Santos's first album as a solo artist following the break-up of American bachata group Aventura, of which he was the lead singer. The record contains fifteen tracks, most of which were composed by Santos and co-produced with Ivan Chevere. The album experiments with the sound of bachata and other genres including R&B and flamenco. It features several Anglophone and Hispanophone guest artists including Usher, Tomatito, Mario Domm, and Lil Wayne. Recording for the album took place in 2011 at The Castle, Fight Klub, and EMG Studios in New York City. Todo Tiene Su Hora is the 13th studio album by Dominican singer-songwriter Juan Luis Guerra and his band 4.40. It was released on November 11, 2014, by Capitol Latin and was produced by Juan Luis Guerra & Janina Rosado. El Dorado is the eleventh studio album by Colombian singer Shakira, released on 26 May 2017, by Sony Music Latin. The album is mainly sung in Spanish, with three songs in English. After her self-titled tenth studio album (2014), Shakira had her second child, suffered from writer's block and was uncertain about the future of her career.
