Viji is an Indian screenwriter and director who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. [1] His movies embody a theme of celebrating life laced with humor, satire and emotions. [2] His work has attracted accolades from literary circles, social activists, politicians, film critics and audience alike. Viji either as writer or writer and director has tried his hands in a variety of genres and themes exploring entertainers ( Azhagiya Theeye, Maayavi, [3] Mozhi [4] ), Family Emotions (36 Vayadhinile [5] ), satire ( Vellithirai ), [6] [7] commercial ( Majaa, Adanga Maru [8] ) and social issues ( Gouravam ) leaving his mark with his sharp, timed dialogues. Mozhi (transl. Language) is a 2007 Indian Tamil language musical romantic comedy film written and directed by Radha Mohan and produced by Prakash Raj. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jyothika, Prakash Raj, and Swarnamalya. The film's plot is about Karthik (Prithviraj), who works as a musician in films. He falls in love with a deaf and mute girl, Archana (Jyothika), but she considers him her friend and disapproves of his love. The rest of the story revolves around Archana accepting Karthik's love.
Aanandham (transl. Joy) is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language drama film co-written and directed by N. Lingusamy in his directoral debut and produced by R. B. Choudary.
