Vince Byron (born 11 May 1990) is an, Australian BMX rider. [1] He wins 14 medals at X-Games and he will specialize in BMX Vert and Big Air.

Contest history

Before his X Games success he won two third place at the X Games in 2007 and 2008. [2] He won the gold at T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds Vert in 2010. It is at Dew Tour where his successes begin, he won some medals (two second place, two third place and one first place). [3] He is a Mega Ramp (or Big Air) specialist. He won a 2nd place and 3rd place in 2011. [2]

Byron has competed in numerous X Games, most recently competing in the 2017 X Games where he took another Gold medal in Vert and Silver medal in Big Air. [4] At the 2015 X Games, Byron won the gold in the BMX Vert, beating nine-time winner Jamie Bestwick. [5] [6] Byron has also won gold four times at the KIA World Extreme Games. He also won the Vert Mission in 2017. [7] At the 2014 event, Byron became the first person to ever land a 540 flair in a vert competition. [8]

Scotty Cranmer is an American BMX rider. He is tied with Dave Mirra for the most X Games BMX Park medals with nine, three each in gold, silver and bronze over fourteen appearances. He attended Jackson Memorial High School. Nicknamed "the Bulldozer", he is sponsored by Vans Shoes, Hyper Bike Co., Fox Clothing, Pro-tec Helmets, Monster Energy and Snafu. He owns a bike shop in Howell, NJ called SC Action Sports Bicycle Shop. He is also widely known for having a YouTube channel under the name Scotty Cranmer in which he makes videos with his friends riding skateparks, driving cars, and playing games while riding their bikes. His younger brother Matty is a regular guest on the channel. As of June 2021, the channel has accumulated over 1.71 million subscribers and 500 million total views since releasing his first video in September 2015.

X Games XV was the fifteenth annual X Games extreme sports event. It took place from July 30 – August 2, 2009, in Los Angeles, California, at the Staples Center and the Home Depot Center. It was broadcast on ESPN networks, ABC, and EXPN.com.

The 1080 is a skateboarding trick that can be performed on a vertical skateboard ramp or on a mega ramp, in which the skateboarder makes three full revolutions while airborne. It was first completed successfully on a mega ramp in 2012 by American skateboarder Tom Schaar, and on a vert ramp in May 2020 by Brazilian skateboarder Gui Khury. The 1080 has only ever been landed after a fakie ollie, meaning the rider is in the normal stance, but rolling in the opposite direction, popping off of the tail.

He was the first skateboarder to land a "1080," which is three revolutions and was the youngest X Games gold medalist after completing the first 1080 in a competition at the 2012 Asia X Games in Shanghai; Forbes Magazine listed Schaar to their 2020 30 Under 30 Sports category highlighting the next generation of Sports talent.

Brett Banasiewicz, nicknamed "Mad Dog", is an American professional BMX rider living in South Bend, Indiana. He became a professional BMX rider at the age of 13. In the 2010, 2011, and 2012 Brett competed in the BMX park discipline at the X Games finishing 4th, 7th and 4th respectively. On August 23, 2012, he crashed in a practice session at the Vans LXVI BMX Invitational at Virginia Beach, Virginia suffering a head injury. He spent 15 days in a medically induced coma whilst being treated at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital.
