He completed his Bachelor of Music at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, and studied in New York and Cuba. Barney is the brother of pianist John McAll.

Trevor Chappell is an Australian local radio presenter for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) based in Melbourne. Until July 2023 he was one of the two regular presenters of the Overnights program broadcast nationally from 2:00 am (AEST) to 6:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, when he was joined by a variety of regular guests each night. Late in July, he moved to an afternoon slot on the Melbourne station and his producer, Michael Pavlich, became his replacement on Overnights.
The Cherry Bar is a Melbourne city bar founded in December 1999 by former Cosmic Psychos drummer Bill Walsh. Phillip Sametz was born in Sydney. Following his first broadcasts on ABC Classic FM and 2MBS-FM in the 1980s, he appeared on all the major ABC radio networks, writing and presenting feature programs, documentaries and interval features on ABC Classic FM, and as a regular guest on the afternoon show on ABC 702 Sydney, on the evening show on ABC 774 Melbourne, and on Radio National's The Music Show. Sametz was the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra's Communications Manager from 2004 until 2013, and presented Classic Breakfast on ABC Classic FM each weekday during 2016-2017. He is also Director and vocalist of Sydney-based swing band the Mell-O-Tones, who perform regularly at the Hayden Orpheum Cinemas in Cremorne, Sydney.
John Kennedy O'Connor is a television and radio broadcaster, author, and entertainment commentator. He was born in North London, England, but is a naturalized citizen of the United States. He has written, reported and broadcast for numerous media organizations, as well as written, created and produced media events for a number of international corporations. He is best known for his work within the Eurovision Song Contest as a TV commentator and host. Until 2023, he was the news anchor for NBC and CBS Northern California channels KIEM-TV and KVIQ-LD, before moving to CBS Station KIMA-TV in Washington, as the main anchor.
George Malcolm Cocker better known as Mac Cocker was an English-born Australian radio announcer, who worked for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation radio network for 33 years, with stints on Radio Australia, Triple J, Radio National and 105.7 ABC Darwin. He is the father of Jarvis Cocker, the lead singer of the English rock band Pulp.
3DB was a Melbourne-based radio station that opened in 1927, changed its name to 3TT in 1988, and now operates on the FM band as KIIS 101.1.
