Vinton Cassidy is an American politician from Maine. Vinton,a Republican,was elected a Washington County Commissioner in November 2013. He had previously served as State Senator from 1992 to 1998,representing District 3 in Washington County. In 1992,he defeated incumbent Democrat Harry Vose to take the seat. He has also been appointed to state boards by two governors,Democrat John Baldacci and Republican Paul LePage. [1]
Cassidy was born and raised in Calais,Maine and he graduated from Calais High School and nearby Northern Maine Vocational Technical College (NMVTC) before graduating from the University of Southern Maine. In 2012,he began his thirty-third year of instructing at Washington County Community College (formerly NMVTC). [1]
Cassidy was first elected to the Calais Town Council in 1971. Serving until 1987,he served several terms as mayor. In 1992,he won a three-way race and defeated incumbent Democrat Harry Vose for the District 3 State Senate seat. He served until 1998. He was appointed by Governor John Baldacci to the Commission on Government,Ethics,and Election Practices,where he served two years. He was also appointed by Governor Paul LePage to serve on the Maine State Board of Corrections. [1]
Piscataquis County is a county located in the U.S. state of Maine. As of the 2020 census,its population was 16,800,making it Maine's least-populous county. Its county seat is Dover-Foxcroft. The county was incorporated on March 23,1838,taken from the western part of Penobscot County and the eastern part of Somerset County. In 2011,Republican Governor Paul LePage nominated Woodcock to be Maine's Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife,and he took office in the spring of that year.

Lawrence pursued private law practice for 14 years before becoming the York County District Attorney from 2003 to 2010. In 2010,he returned to private practice and operates the Lawrence Law Firm out of Kittery.
Garrett Paul Mason is an American politician from Maine. A Republican,Mason formerly served in the Maine State Senate from the 22nd District,representing part of Androscoggin County,including his residence in Lisbon Falls. In 2003,he graduated from Calvary Christian Academy in Turner. In 2006,Mason graduated from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola,Florida with a B.A. in marketing. He also completed graduate work at Southern New Hampshire University and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. After college,Mason worked for the AA baseball team Portland Sea Dogs and as director of administration for the QJMHL hockey team Lewiston Maineiacs. He also received at honorary doctorate in Humanities from Pensacola Christian College in 2018.

Charles P. Pray is an American politician from Maine. Pray was born in the paper mill town of Millinocket,Maine on August 15,1945. He grew up in northern Piscataquis County,Maine attending a one-room schoolhouse from 1954-1959. He attended Maine Central Institute,graduating from Stearns High School in his birthplace of Millinocket in 1964. He then attended Ricker College in Houlton. In 1966,he enlisted with the US Air Force and served in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. Finishing with the Air Force in 1970,he returned to Maine and enrolled at the University of Maine,from which he graduated in 1973 with a B.A. in political science. In 1974,he was elected to the Maine Senate to represent Piscataquis County and the northern area of Penobscot County,which was the largest legislative district east of the Mississippi River. From 1978-1982,Pray served as Assistant Majority Leader of the Maine Senate. From 1982-1984,Pray served as Majority Leader. In 1984,Pray was elected by his peers as President of the Maine Senate,a position he held until a surprise defeat in 1992. He is one of two individuals to serve four terms but is the only Senate President in Maine history to hold the office for 8 full years.
Joe Baldacci is an American attorney and Democratic politician from Maine. Baldacci serves in the Maine Senate representing District 9,serving Bangor and Hermon. He grew up in Bangor and attended the University of Maine and the University of Maine School of Law. Following law school,Baldacci returned to Bangor and opened a law practice,serving on the Bangor City Council beginning in 1996. Baldacci served 12 years on the Council,including two terms as chair/mayor,before being elected to the Maine Senate in 2020. He also made a brief run for Maine's 2nd congressional district seat in 2016 but dropped out before the Democratic primary in June.
