Violent Pop is the third album by Finnish violent pop band Blind Channel, released on 6 March 2020. [1] [2] The first song for the album was the track, "Over My Dead Body", recorded in the summer of 2018. [3] From that moment on, Blind Channel began writing new material. In December 2019, the band announced that the recording of their album had been completed, taking just under a year and a half to finish. [2] Produced by Jonas Olsson, who also worked on the band's two previous albums, Revolutions and Blood Brothers . In addition, Jakob Hansen, a Danish musician behind the Volbeat hits, also took part in the album's recording. [2] In total, around twenty demos were selected for the album, but only eleven were chosen and ended up in the final release. [3]
On 15 January 2020, Blind Channel revealed the album's title, cover art and track list. [4] It had been revealed that the album would be released under Out Of Line Music in Germany and Ranka Kustannus worldwide on 6 March 2020. The title of the album is in line with the self-named Blind Channel style. [4]
The first single was the song "Over My Dead Body", officially released on 15 November 2018. A video clip was published a few days later, directed by Alexei Kulikov from the Estonian media company Vita Pictura. [5]
On 15 March 2019, the second single, "Timebomb", was released, featuring DJ and producer Alex Mattson.
On 7 June, Blind Channel presented the third single, "Snake". The song featured Henrik Englund, best known as GG6, from the Swedish/Danish melodic metal band Amaranthe. The musicians also presented a video clip directed again by Alexei Kulikov and the Vita Pictura team.
After a long break due to a large number of performances, Blind Channel released the fourth single "Died Enough For You" on 22 November 2019. [6] In addition, Blind Channel introduced a new style of the group – to replace the white colour in their outfits came a combination of silver and black. Thus, the group defined a new milestone in their work.[ citation needed ] The music video for the song was released on 3 April 2020.
On 3 January 2020, a fifth single, "Fever", was released. Blind Channel reported that this is the last single that they would release before the release of the album itself.[ citation needed ] The album's official release was accompanied by its final single, "Gun".

The Rasmus is a Finnish rock band that formed in 1994 in Helsinki while the band members were in upper comprehensive school. The original band members were Lauri Ylönen, Eero Heinonen (bass), Pauli Rantasalmi (guitar) and Jarno Lahti (drums). Jarno Lahti left the year after and was replaced by Janne Heiskanen in 1995. Heiskanen quit the band in 1999 and was soon replaced by Aki Hakala. Pauli Rantasalmi left the band and was replaced by guitarist Emilia "Emppu" Suhonen in 2022. Best known for their 2003 hit single "In the Shadows", the band has sold over 5 million albums worldwide and 350,000 albums in Finland alone, and has won numerous awards, both domestic and international. The band represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song "Jezebel".
"Bringin' On the Heartbreak" is a song by English rock band Def Leppard. A power ballad, it was the second single from their 1981 album High 'n' Dry. The song was written by three of the band's members, Steve Clark, Pete Willis and Joe Elliott.
"Zombified" is a song by American rock band Falling in Reverse. It was released on January 5, 2022, through Epitaph Records. It was released as a standalone single and was later included on their fifth studio album Popular Monster. The song was again produced by DangerKids vocalist Tyler Smyth and Ronnie Radke.
Matthew Kiichi Heafy is a Japanese-American musician, best known as the guitarist and lead vocalist for heavy metal band Trivium. He was also the lead vocalist for the band Capharnaum, along with Trivium's former producer Jason Suecof. In 2017, Heafy was voted sixth on the Ultimate Guitar list "Top 25 Greatest Modern Frontmen".
Sabaton is a Swedish power metal band from Falun. The band was formed in 1999 by lead singer Joakim Brodén, bassist Pär Sundström, guitarists Oskar Montelius and Rikard Sundén, and drummer Richard Larsson, but has gone through multiple lineup changes with Brodén and Sundström remaining the only consistent members. The vast majority of their songs are about historical events, mainly wars and significant battles. Sabaton is considered one of the "big four" power metal bands along with Blind Guardian, DragonForce and Helloween, though the band describe their music as a form of heavy metal.

Unspoken is an American Christian band. The band is composed of Chad Mattson, Jon Lowry, Ariel Munoz, and Matthew Callaway. The band released their debut single, "Who You Are", on the Centricity Music label. Released on June 12, 2012, the song has charted on numerous Christian song charts, and was the only song from the band's debut EP Get to Me to be featured on their first full-length album. The self-titled debut LP Unspoken was released April 1, 2014. A five-song preview EP, The World Is Waking, was released July 24, 2013. They have had four straight top-five AC singles in their career including "Who You Are", "Lift My Life Up", "Start a Fire", and "Good Fight", with "Start a Fire" reaching No. 1; the song "Lift My Life Up" was also included on the 2015 WOW Hits release. The band also toured alongside Big Daddy Weave and Sanctus Real.
Michael David Rosenberg, better known by his stage name Passenger, is an English indie folk singer, songwriter and musician. From 2003 to 2009, Rosenberg fronted a band by the same name; he opted to keep the Passenger moniker for his solo work after the band dissolved. Rosenberg is best known for the 2012 song "Let Her Go", which topped the charts in 16 countries and accumulated more than 3.6 billion views on YouTube. Because Rosenberg was based in Australia at the time of release, it is the most-viewed Australian YouTube video ever. American Authors, formerly known as the Blue Pages, are an American rock band originally from Boston, based in New York City, that consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Zac Barnett, bassist Dave Rublin, and drummer Matt Sanchez. Guitarist and banjoist James Adam Shelley is a former member. They are best known for their hit singles "Believer" and "Best Day of My Life", from their debut album, Oh, What a Life, as well as their top 20 hit "Go Big or Go Home", from their second album, What We Live For. The band, previously signed to Island Records, now releases music independently.
Clean Your Clock is the thirteenth live album by the band Motörhead, released on 10 June 2016, approximately six months after the death of vocalist and bassist Lemmy. Lemmy dedicated the song "Doctor Rock" to Phil Taylor, Motörhead's drummer from 1976-1983 and from 1987-1992, who died a week before the live album was recorded.
Story Untold is a Canadian rock band based in Laval, Quebec. Founded in 2012, the band signed with Hopeless Records in May 2016. Shortly after signing, they recorded their self-titled EP, then went on tour with Simple Plan and Hit the Lights. Story Untold current line-up included vocalist and main songwriter Janick Thibault and drummer Jonathan Landry. In December 2019, the band left Hopeless Records and now remain as an independent group.

Grayscale is an American rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2011, the group currently features lead vocalist Collin Walsh, lead guitarist and backup vocalist Andrew Kyne, rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist Dallas Molster and drummer Nick Veno. The band formed from the Philadelphia pop punk scene, building a strong reputation and gaining steam among fans and music lovers. On April 14, 2015 Grayscale released its first EP Change gaining much success.

The album was released on 1 October 2016, with recording starting in October 2015 with the help of Jonas Olsson, and ended a year later. The album consists of 11 songs, one of which is the cover of the song "Don't" by Ed Sheeran. The album received generally positive reviews, with Finnish publications such as Soundi and KaaosZine giving it high praise, among other review sources.
Blood Brothers is the second album by Finnish rock band Blind Channel. The album was released on 20 April 2018. The recording began after most of the concerts dedicated to supporting the album Revolutions. In December 2017, the group has announced they had finished the recording of the album. The album was produced by Jonas Olsson, who had also worked on the previous album. Reviewed by Musicalypse and KaaoZine, the album received one of the highest ratings for that year, both reviewers giving the album a nine out of ten stars.
