Vipin Aneja is an Indian playback singer in Bollywood. He sang the popular song 'Jaane Tere Shehar Ka' in the movie Jazbaa which stars the likes of Irrfan Khan and Aishwarya Rai. [1] [2]

Early life

He was born and brought up in Delhi. He has a degree in Business Administration from the New York State University but chose music as his career. [5]

Career

His first original non-film commercial project was an album called ‘Teri Payal’ that came out in 2001 which did well. He is more popular for singing the remixed version of the old Hindi film song Gulabi Ankhen, which was a part of the album Salute to Bollywood. [6] He won prestigious National and International Awards like All India Sangam Kala in India and Azia Dausy, a World Pop Music Festival in Kazakhstan. [7]

He performed for AR Rahman’s world peace concert, ‘Unity of Light’, and travelled with the musician to Dubai and Malaysia amongst other countries. [8] He was also a lead singer of the band 'Sixth Sense' in the 'Idea Rocks India' show on Colors (TV channel) and made a mark as a remarkable singer and a powerpack performer. [9]

He also paid a tribute to Govinda at the Mirchi Music Awards. [10] Next, he is gearing up to sing for the films Dee Saturday Night, Sonali Cable and Desi Magic. [11] He is currently a part of a panel of 30 grand jury members at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs 2017 who are experts from the music fraternity.

Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns is a 2013 Indian romantic thriller drama film directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. It is the sequel to the 2011 film, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster and the second installment of the Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster film series. The film stars Jimmy Sheirgill and Mahi Gill, who reprised their roles from the previous film, while new additions to the cast include Irrfan Khan and Soha Ali Khan. The film was released on 8 March 2013. Jimmy Shergill won Best Actor Award for this film at 11th Norway Bollywood Film Festival in Oslo. A sequel titled Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 was released on 27 July 2018 and got poor reviews because of its poor script and weak plotlines.

"Lag Jaa Gale" is a Hindi song with music by Madan Mohan Kohli and lyrics by Raja Mehdi Ali Khan, written for the 1964 Bollywood film Woh Kaun Thi? under the music label Saregama. On the screen, the song was performed by the film's star Sadhana, though actually sung by playback singer Lata Mangeshkar.

Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster is a series of Indian Hindi-language romantic thriller films co-written, co-produced and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. Its title was inspired by 1962's Bollywood film Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam. The film series stars Jimmy Sheirgill as Aditya Pratap Singh (Saheb) and Mahi Gill as Madhavi Deva (Biwi). The first film named Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster was released in 2011 and the second film Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns released in 2013. Both films received critical acclaim and perform moderate success at the box office. The third film Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 released in 2018 and received poor reviews from critics for its script and weak plotlines and became a disaster at the box office.
