Virginia's 68th House of Delegates district elects one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. District 68, comprising King William County, King & Queen County, Gloucester County, Mathews County, Middlesex County, and Essex County, is represented by Republican M. Keith Hodges. [1]
From 2008 to 2018, the 68th district was represented by Republican Manoli Loupassi from 2008 to 2018. [2] He lost his 2017 reelection bid to Dawn Adams by 325 votes (of more than 40,000 cast). [3] Adams represented the district from 2018 to 2024, and did not seek re-election following redistricting that would have re-aligned her seat to the 78th District. [4]
The 68th district is one of 11 House of Delegates districts that courts found unconstitutionally gerrymandered by race and was redrawn effective August 31, 2023. [5]

Carol Miller is an American farmer, educator, and politician who has represented West Virginia's 1st congressional district since 2019. The district, numbered as the 3rd district from 2019 to 2023, covers the southern half of the state, including Huntington, Charleston, Bluefield, and Beckley.
The 2018 United States House of Representatives elections in Virginia were held on November 6, 2018, to elect the 11 U.S. representatives from the state of Virginia, one from each of the state's 11 congressional districts. The elections coincided with other states' elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections. Primary elections took place on June 12.
The 2017 Virginia House of Delegates election was held on Tuesday, November 7. All 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates were contested. The Republican Party held a 66–34 majority in the House of Delegates before the election but lost 15 seats to the Democratic Party, resulting in the Republicans holding a 50–49 advantage.

Virginia's 57th House of Delegates district elects one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. District 57, consisting of parts of Charlottesville and Albemarle County, has been represented by Sally Hudson since 2020, and previously by David Toscano from 2006 to 2020, following the 2005 election in which he defeated Thomas W. McCrystal after the retirement of Mitchell Van Yahres. Following the redistricting after the 2020 Census, the district was moved to include areas of Goochland County and Henrico County. In the 2023 Virginia House of Delegates election, Republican David Owen narrowly won the seat over his Democratic opponent.

The district is made up of most of Manassas City and some of Prince William County. The representative of the 50th district is Democrat Michelle Maldonado.
Virginia's 35th House of Delegates district elects one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. District 35, in the Shenandoah Valley, is currently represented by Republican Chris Runion since 2024.
Virginia's 42nd House of Delegates district elects one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. Under a redistricting plan effective for the 2023 Virginia House of Delegates election, the district number was reassigned from Northern Virginia's Fairfax County to a new southwestern Virginia district formed from parts of the previous districts 12, 7 and 8, including the independent city of Radford, Giles County, and parts of Montgomery and Pulaski counties. The old 12th District included Radford, Giles and different parts of Pulaski and Montgomery counties. Significantly, the new 42nd district no longer includes the Montgomery County town of Blacksburg, which had been home to previous Democrat delegates from the 12th, Joan Munford, Jim Shuler and Chris Hurst.
Virginia's 56th House of Delegates district elects one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. District 56 includes Louisa County, as well as portions of Goochland, Henrico, and Spotsylvania counties. It has been represented by Republican Tom Garrett since 2024.
Virginia's 64th House of Delegates district elects one of 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates, the lower house of the state's bicameral legislature. District 64, located in Isle of Wight County, Prince George County, Suffolk, Surry County, was represented by Republican Rick Morris from 2012 to 2018. Due to scandal, Morris did not seek re-election in Virginia's November 2017 elections. Based on the results of the election, the seat has been held by Republican Emily Brewer since January 2018. Emily Brewer defeated Democrat Michele Joyce in district 64 on November 5, 2019 and won reelection on November 2, 2021.

The 2023 Virginia House of Delegates election took place on November 7, 2023, concurrently with elections for the Virginia Senate, to elect members of the 163rd Virginia General Assembly. All 100 delegates were elected to two-year terms from single-member districts. Nomination primaries held through the Department of Elections were held June 20, 2023. Democrats gained 3 seats, winning back control with a 51–49 majority after having previously lost it in 2021.
