Virginia Jetzt! was a German Indie-Pop band founded in the small town of Elsterwerda in Brandenburg in 1999; the quartet dissolved in October 2010.
The band has released four albums so far, their 2003 debut album Wer hat Angst vor Virginia Jetzt? — a reference to the Edward Albee play Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? — followed by Anfänger (English: Beginner) in 2004, Land Unter (English: Land Under) in 2007, and "Blühende Landschaften" (English: "Blooming Landscapes") in 2009.
Anfänger spawned three single releases; "Ein ganzer Sommer" (German Charts # 28, 2004), "Das ganz normale Leben" (# 72, 2004) and "Wahre Liebe" (# 49, 2005).
In 2005, the band represented Brandenburg in the Bundesvision Song Contest 2005, with the song "Wahre Liebe", placing 8th with 54 points. [1]
January 2007 saw the band release their album Land Unter, containing the singles "Bitte bleib nicht, wenn du gehst"(German Charts # 54, 2006) (English: "Please don't stay, if you leave") and "Mehr als das" (# 75, 2007) (English: "More than that").
Klee is a German pop band from Cologne. Named after German painter Paul Klee, the band was formed in 2002 by singer Suzie Kerstgens and musicians Sten Servaes and Tom Deininger. Klee's brand of pop music incorporates electronic as well as acoustic sounds and, in more recent years, the band has embraced chanson and schlager. Four of Klee's albums have entered the top 30 of the German albums chart.
Jeanette Biedermann is a German singer, actress, and television personality. Born and raised in the greater Berlin area, Biedermann began performing as a member of a troupe of acrobats in a children's circus at the age of six. She later attended beauty school before dropping out to pursue her music career following her participation and win of the Bild-Schlagerwettbewerb competition in 1998. The following year, Biedermann placed fourth in the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest and was propelled to stardom when she was cast in a main role in the soap opera Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten. In 2000, she made her musical breakthrough with her first two full English-language albums Enjoy! (2000) and Delicious (2001).

Unheilig is a German band that draws from a variety of influences, including various pop and electronic styles as well as heavier, nihilistic hard rock. The band was founded in Aachen in 1999 and principally consisted of singer Bernd Heinrich "Der Graf" along with various musical partners. He was accompanied for live shows by musicians Christoph "Licky" Termühlen, Henning Verlage, and Martin "Potti" Potthoff. The group's debut, Phosphor, came out in 2000.

Consisting of Oliver Gottwald, Michael Schmidt and Ingolf Nössner (drums), the band produced guitar pop with electronic sounds, these being more prominent in earlier recordings. The Bundesvision Song Contest 2010 was the sixth edition of the annual Bundesvision Song Contest musical event. The contest was held on 1 October 2010 at the Max-Schmeling-Halle, Berlin, following Peter Fox's win in the 2009 contest in Brandenburg with the song "Schwarz zu blau". This was the second time that Berlin had hosted the contest, after previously hosting in 2007. The contest was hosted by Stefan Raab, Johanna Klum, and Elton in the green room.
