Madhya Pradesh is a state in central India. Its capital is Bhopal, and the largest city is Indore, with Jabalpur, Ujjain, Gwalior, Sagar and Satna being the other major cities. Madhya Pradesh is the second largest Indian state by area and the fifth largest state by population with over 72 million residents. It borders the states of Uttar Pradesh to the northeast, Chhattisgarh to the east, Maharashtra to the south, Gujarat to the west, and Rajasthan to the northwest.
Indore is the largest and most populous city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It serves as the headquarters of both Indore District and Indore Division. It is also considered as an education hub of the state and is the only city to encompass campuses of both the Indian Institute of Technology and the Indian Institute of Management. The city is distributed over a land area of just 530 square kilometres (200 sq mi), making Indore the most densely populated major city in the central province. Indore is the cleanest city in India according to Swachh Survekshan Report 2022 sixth time in a row, conducted by MoHUA the world's largest urban sanitation and cleanliness survey.

Kailash Nath Katju was a prominent politician of India. He was the Governor of Orissa and West Bengal, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, the Union Home Minister and the Union Defence Minister. He was also one of India's most prominent lawyers. He was part of some of the most notable cases of his times, including the Indian National Army trials. Katju joined the Indian independence movement early on and spent several years incarcerated with fellow independence activists for his activities.
Ramesh Bais is an Indian politician who currently serving as the 23rd Governor of Maharashtra since 2023. Bais also served as the Governor of Jharkhand from 2021 to 2023 and the Governor of Tripura from 2019 to 2021. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and has served as Union Minister of State for Environment and Forests in the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia is an Indian politician who serves as the Minister of Civil Aviation, Government of India in the Second Modi Ministry since 2021. This position his father, Madhavrao Scindia from 1991 to 1993. He also heads the Ministry of Steel, Government of India in the second Modi Ministry since 2022. He is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha representing the State of Madhya Pradesh since 2020. He is a former Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, representing the Guna constituency in Madhya Pradesh from 2002 until his defeat in the 2019 Indian general election. He is former member of the Indian National Congress (INC) from 2001 to 2020 and presently a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since 2020. While a member of the INC,he served as the Minister of State for Power and Corporate in the Second Manmohan Singh Ministry from 2012 to 2014.
Vidya Charan Shukla was an Indian politician whose political career spanned six decades. He was predominantly a member of the Indian National Congress, but also had spells in Jan Morcha, Janata Dal, Samajwadi Janata Party (Rashtriya), Nationalist Congress Party and Bharatiya Janata Party. He was known as a close associate of Indira Gandhi.
Govind Narayan Singh, was an Indian politician. He was Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from July 30, 1967 to March 12, 1969. He was also Governor of Bihar state from February 26, 1988 to January 24, 1989.

She represented Laundi Vidhan Sabha constituency of undivided Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly by winning General election of 1957. She also represented Khajuraho between 1980 and 1989. Her son Satyavrat Chaturvedi was also elected to Lok Sabha from Khajuraho later.
