Pine Bluff is the tenth-most populous city in the US state of Arkansas and the county seat of Jefferson County. Henry "Hank" Wilkins IV is an American politician and a Democratic former member of the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represented District 17 from January 2011 to 2015. Arkansas voters chose six electors to represent them in the Electoral College via a popular vote putting incumbent Republican President Donald Trump and his running mate,incumbent Vice President Mike Pence,against Democratic challenger and former Vice President Joe Biden and his running mate,United States Senator Kamala Harris of California. Also on the ballot were the nominees for the Libertarian,Green,Constitution,American Solidarity,Life and Liberty,and Socialism and Liberation parties and Independent candidates. Write-in candidates are not allowed to participate in presidential elections.
The 2022 Arkansas gubernatorial election took place on November 8,2022,to elect the next governor of Arkansas. Incumbent Republican governor Asa Hutchinson was term-limited and could not seek a third term. Republican Sarah Huckabee Sanders,daughter of former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee,defeated Democrat Chris Jones to become the first woman ever elected to the office,and was sworn in on January 10,2023.
Jay C. Martin is an American attorney and politician who served as a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives for the 40th district from 2003 to 2007. In 2005,Martin served as majority leader of the House.
The 2024 Arkansas House of Representatives election was held on November 5,2024,alongside the 2024 United States elections.
