Vladimir Makeev (born 11 September 1957 in Kemerovo) is a former Soviet alpine skier who competed in the 1980 Winter Olympics and 1984 Winter Olympics.

He won the 4 x 10 km gold at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo for the USSR. Voronkov also finished 4th in the 30 km event at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble

Isabelle Mir is a French former Alpine skier. At the 1968 Olympics in Grenoble Mir was silver medalist in the downhill. She received a silver medal at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1970.
Alfred Matt is an Austrian former alpine skier and Olympic medalist. He received a bronze medal in the slalom at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble. He also competed at the 1972 Winter Olympics.

Simple People is a 1945 Soviet war film directed by Grigori Kozintsev and Leonid Trauberg. The film, along with the second part of Eisenstein's Ivan the Terrible was harshly criticized by Andrei Zhdanov and banned. A version of the film, released in 1956 during Khrushchev Thaw, was disowned by Kozintsev because the reediting was done without his participation.

Axamer Lizum is a village and ski resort in Austria, located southwest of Innsbruck in the state of Tyrol. At the 1964 Winter Olympics, it hosted five of the six alpine skiing events: women's downhill, and men's and women's slalom and giant slalom. Men's downhill was held at Patscherkofel. Twelve years later in 1976, it hosted exactly the same alpine skiing events.
Nadezhda Patrikeyeva Andreyeva was a Russian alpine skier. She competed at the 1980 and 1984 Winter Olympics in the slalom and giant slalom with the best achievement of sixth place in the slalom in 1980. She missed the 1976 Olympics due to a serious injury in a slalom in late 1975, which resulted in a broken pelvis and concussion.
Dimitar Drazhev was a Bulgarian alpine skier. He has competed at the 1948 Winter Olympics and the 1952 Winter Olympics. He was one of the alpine ski sport pioneers in Bulgaria. He became chairman of the Bulgarian Ski Federation in 1946 and after completing his higher education in Moscow was reelected as chairman from 1956 to 1962. He later served as committee member representing Bulgaria in the International Ski Federation and dean of the ski faculty at the National Sports Academy "Vassil Levski". He is the father of alpine skier Vladimir Drazhev and the grandfather of the figure skater Hristina Vassileva.

He was the flagbearer for Russia during the 2014 Winter Paralympics as he led the Russian Paralympic delegation in its home nation at the opening ceremony of the event. He was awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" by the Russian President, Vladimir Putin in 2014 for his outstanding performance at the 2014 Winter Paralympics. Valerii Redkozubov was also awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" in March 2018 by Vladimir Putin after his impressive Paralympic record during the 2018 Winter Paralympics.
